Here is a 4-Tone Audio ID Mod for the Fisher Quicksilver CZ-7a, CZ-6a and CZ-5a. (Without the mod it only has a 3 tone audio id). You only need to attach a 680 kOhm Resistor at the places indicated and cut off the connection between Pin 14 and 15.

Regards,

Christian

NAD , the Fisher 1220 was , and still is a Great VLF machine from around 1985 or so , I read the field tests and it beats a newer fisher 1236x . If you have one it is definitely worth fixing !! I have been looking for a 1220 schematic for many years  , I have only seen schematics of the 1210,1225,1235,1260,1265,1266 . If someone on this forum has one , Please post a schematic here at "Thunting.com".... Great.....Thank-You...........................

Regarding the 1220 diagram..Let's up the ante.. How about 4 barber quarters, good sliders or ten dollars(sorry FRN's not Eagles). Other idea is to get the monster back from the guy who soldered it and have someone do a diagram....But the Main??? cap behind the battery or in conjunction with the battery is fried... I have a standard coil and a hocky puck 4 incher with a seven? foot cable..There are one or two spots where pushing a coil from shore is better than going into the water.I just may try and find a dealer service center to repair,,Fisher no longer goes back that far..Thanks for letting me punch letters, am off to post reward on other bulletin boards, cordially Nad   I have the 1220 data with circuit board components and values. Coil would be  from the 1210 to 1260 range  Thanks, it is going out for repairs Nad Detecting

I have the Schematic , What Garrett did was very clever , build a "Super-Discrimination Metal Detector" but designed it to run at LOW-POWER !!!! On the ACE 250 you have an equivelent to ,  top-of-the-line GTI-2500 "Discrimination programs" but running at very low power to the search coil . I have a ton of information . If that detector had just 4 inches more depth at $212 u.s. dollars , Garrett would pull it off the Store shelves .............I cannot post all the information here because last I heard this Detector is still being manufactured . I will e-mail to you some assorted information . I read some some good field test information , not a deep-detector  but discriminates excellent in areas full of garbage . I am searching my CD's...........I will post later today , I hope ......Regards...................Eugene52
