Hello,
I'm new to this forum and would like to ask you for opinion.I am about to start building metal detector.I have some expirience in electronics but I never built metal detector. I found PIM2 and Delta pulse 2 interesting projects and I am gonig to ask if you are in my position which one would you choose? Or maybe some other? Please give me an advice.

The question you should be asking yourself is what you want to use it for and how much time are you willing so spend building your new project. They both have a following.

Have you tried using the search feature at the top of the page? There has already been lots of discussion about both here on the forum.

Hi.
I am not sure what you mean with your question what I want use it for - I suppose for finding metal  berried in ground. How much time to built it - as much as it takes.I am patient.I red a lot about both of it and saw that PIM2 has limited hex( v05 ) to 500 ON/OFF times and than burn AVR again I suppose? I am not sure does DP2 has some limitations.
Generally looking for some advanced ( with LCD ) metal detector for ground search 30-40 cm.
Thank you for reply GoldDigger1950

The question is a general one about how you plan to be a treasure hunter. Relics? Coins? Caches? Gold? Each of those has a detector type that is designed to help you towards that goal of what you are seeking.

Hm.You confused me a little.I saw video concerning PIM2

PIM-2 V05 Ayrım Testi ( Discrimination Test )
and it looks like that PIM2 is making difference between different type of metal. Also for  DP2

Delta Pulse 2
  True?
If that's true, is it matter if I chase for coin,relic,gold....etc?

If my question confused you, it would appear you are not ready to build your own.

Maybe. No one has been born wise Wise. I am here to learn. Concerning my knowledge in electronics I don't think so that I am unable to build one of these - from my point of view. If they are different kinds, like Mercedes and BMW both are cars but different, I would be greatfull that someone tell me they are not comparable because of that and that. But if not, please compare them.
Thank you in advance

I never said you were unable to build one. I said you are not ready. You just proved it.

If you have a knowledge of electronics and cannot decide for yourself, then asking here is pointless until you tell us what you plan to use your detector to find.

I suggest you pay attention to this because I am finished helping you (which I cannot do until you answer the question). What do you plan on using your machine to do? Please be specific. Any machine can find metal. Any machine can find coins and jewelry. Any machine can be used on the beach. Any machiine can be used to find relics. What are you planning to use your machine to do that requres you to decide between two metal detector designs?

Doubt that I have is concerning experience in building and using one of those. Maybe it's easier to trim one than another, maybe one is more unstable than another, maybe one is more sensitive than another ( for same coil ) , maybe one is more durable for same accu than another  ... I DON'T KNOW what maybe is still possible to appear.
All I wanted to hear is experience from people who built it and use it - which one and in which aspects one is better/worse than another.
