Go Up Go Down

Friday, the wife of the tree farmer I'm currently working for ask me to help her.

He is 84 last week and she will be 82 next week.

She took me to one of the out buildings they have a freezer in.

She pops it open and says, grab that for me.

A whole Pigs head she points to.

Snout, Eyes looking at me and Fuzzy hair on the ears.

She said she's going to boil it down and make us Pork Enchiladas for lunch next week.

Ge I can't wait! Crazy   Idiot Idiot

Sort of an unusual topic for a treasure hunting site, but then again if your stomach is growling you don't feel too good out detecting...so you go get some of the local fare...Barbecued pork or beef, Cheeseburgers and fries, hotdogs with that chili that has beens and melted cheese and ketchup and mustard and onions AND Jalepeno peppers, Seafood: Shrimp-both boiled and fried, Gumbo with crabs, oysters, and shrimp, etc. And we love whatever our mom's lay on the table on a typical day--My mom and step pop are really good cooks and often the fare they choose to put on the table is the stuff of Southern Dreams-you know the stuff-fried green tomatoes, turnup greens, fried eggplant, smothered down pork or beef with onions and thick brown gravy, rice and gravy, lima beans and rice, smoked pork neckbones and rice, and always that wonderful pone of cornbread and gasses of that all time favorite beverage for all meals-ICED TEA!!! Now that's some sho-nuff good vittles folks and save a dab of room for a slice of pecan pie or a piece of lemon pound cake and peaches. HOORAY! Folks, that's what living's all about---now pass me my plate and pour me a big ol' glass of tea and we'll try not to talk with our mouth full-LOL!

fry sauce - is catsup and mayo and cayenne pepper. Around these parts they eat french fries with it.
"Hot Dougs" hot dogs sound good to me! You sure are lucky to be in The Windy City!
