the usa is screwed up and uses inch but thanks

That is absolutely false. The USA uses BOTH metric and Imperial measures interchangeably. I have used both for so long they come very natural to me. There are some countries who refuse to use anything but metric, to their loss.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

We have had the metric system here in Oz since 1966 and it takes a long time to adjust to it , temperature was easy but distance and volume has been hard, back on track.

Djjr, I have been following your thread, could I suggest that you first build a simple 555 based Surf PI, (kit from Silver Dog)
then you will be able to study the wave forms and timing etc, for the TX and sample pulses, and the Rx signals, then you will be able to write your micro code to suit.

sure
I can build that one also.
The real reason I’m doing other then r&r is that i do alt. energy
I do a lot of work with a meyer type cell design. he uses inductors for the emp/emf from the first pulse.
the first pulse under electrolysis creates a magnetic field a second and third inductor out of phase and the forth inductor completes the circuit.
I have built a 555 type pwm i see some of what goes on I then took a driver to drive a mosfet on and off
So a PI unit fits along with what I'm doing. I also am taking a micro class for this... the project I’m doing is a ROV 3ft metal detector with a GPS.
We are looking to map different things... meteorites(hot rocks)

that is pretty much my story. As i said i live in AZ
Maybe we all can look for the big mine...lol
Don

Hi Don
good on the ROV
there was a bunch of guys in the states I think, that were dragging a blanket coil behind a ATV, looking for larger nuggets.

The thing with the surf PI is that it's a motion detector but there it a mod that you can do to it to make it motionless
