Hello, Kotsansher.
Thank you for this series of photos, this could be an excellent project for 2010 if the price of components is not too high. With good diagrams and hexadecimal data.

Again thank you.
Luc

Thank you Kotsansher!

I noticed there is also ClonePI-2 at

It seems to be the most advanced and mature among all projects.
What is your opinion?

The Chance detector page includes a message : "Attention! Device experimental, positive result with the repetition is not guaranteed."

Hi Kotsansher
Thank you for the fantastic post.
Just one question. The picture of the coil on the instructions on how to make it on the link at ?"One of variants of fast mono coil with low interwinding capacitance"" looks different to the one on the photos of the one you made.
Can you explain the difference or the way you wire it up?
Kind regards
Nickel

You noticed that too? It is mentioned that it is a "freeware" design. So technically it's available over on some *russian* website. Somebody needs to construct one and write up a manual for it (i.e. in clear english). But clearly, this is for more of an intermediate level builder.

But I question some of the performance claims. Besides building the detector, it needs to be turned over to someone who can do a in-depth review of it's performance. I.e. it would have to be a team effort.

Beyond that P.I. detectors are fundamentally not going to be great discriminators. VLF is the way to go in that area. In fact, I have a hard time seeing how this detector would be better for anything more than relic hunting.
