The questions has been asked a few times now ,how good is this machine what depth results can it perform....is it worth making in other words.

full descrimination on pi machine? on pi theory, the main disadvantage in pi it cannot discriminate metals. but maybe in new technology.

There's a reason it's not answered. Depth detection is a function of the size of the object, the soil composition, the soil moisture, the coil size, the coil configuration, the detector and the detector operator. How can the question be answered accurately? Well, the only guarantee is that it will detect a few inches from the coil as long as it's working properly. For a more specific answer, much, much more information is needed from the person asking the question.

i want to built one to..i know pic programming and satelite card hex files from the "old time",,several shops sell cheap programmers for 16fxxxxx and atmel,would be great fun trying this detector
