I ended up getting a PCB kit and a spared PCB so if I don't screw up the first one I can try to make a matching pinpointer to go with it... I am still thinking of a way to splice something similar to a Sunray probe into it.

Hi Sean,
Thats actually pretty easy.
All you'll need is a box  fitted with 2 connectors (one for the coil, one for the probe), 2 pole changeover switch and a cable to the detector control box.
You might need to "re-tune" when flipping between the coil and "probe" but that's no biggy (I just put a little mark on the control for the "probe" position.

Silverdog!

I want a full kit so bad I can taste it.

If Posible please set one aside for me and I'll get there.

If not, I understand.

I have a original Surf Pi Coil .

I loved the way you made yours look like a Excall .

.1uf is the same value. I have no idea where this notion of using nanafarads came from. They're as common as dust, mate. Order them from just about anywhere.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

My workbench is already crowded with projects... I can only imagine what it will be like when this kit comes.
