hi there, im up near murray idaho. i was looking on that geo communicator site before and it seams most claims have been expired. but if you ask locals they alway say their all taken. so i was weery to trust it. but as it seams they are almost all expired and open now. which really shocks me. as high as gold is. but money is tight and pep might not have the time and money to keep them open. hows your research been on the topic?

UP DATE:   Geocommunicator site is DEAD MEAT.

They shut down all the good stuff Feb 24th.

It's back to paper work at the BLM office or County Recorders Office.

If you know the Claim Name LR2000 still works.

Bummer.

Now we are back to the days of wondering who has claims to what and who knows if they are current without a lot of leg work. More brilliance from our gov.

They probably figure if they difficult enough for the rest of us to do what we are entitled to do, they can keep everything pristine for the watermelon types who write the checks to fund the "progressive" candidates and exclusively accessible for the deep pocket types.

That's exactly what is happening.   With the Economy taking a dive there are thousands of folks that think they can make a go of it mining gold.

We've had more then a few here on the Forum.

Restricting the Info to those who know what there doing and making folks go knock on there door drops the traffic way down.

In the long run, it's going to bite them in the buns because there are going to be more wild cats stomping on other peoples stuff and al

all hell is going to break loose.

I think you are right Homefire, it will be anarchy like the old days.

I also agree with you BA, big money doesn't want to have to worry about the little guys being in the way. The politicos can save the world till someone with enough money comes along to convince them it's ok to dig a big hole.

A couple more years we will all be living in national parks and will need a permit just to cut our grass....

Remember back in the late 70's and 80's when the economy was in the outhouse MD sales sky rocketed and fake mining claims were for sale in every magazine on the news stand
