Hey Gramps and all!  Weather is the same here in La Grande as what you guys are all complaining about!  I just put a note about it on the aluminum recovery thread about it, complaining of course!  Not much chance of getting out with the detector yet.  Seems like on the days it is fairly decent I have an appointment or some meeting to go to!  I'm going to get out with a detector one of these days soon!

Hey Arfie I saw on the news about an hour ago that we got 8.6" from that storm, broke a 1948 record for the date.  But that's the point I don't spect snow in march and if we do get it it's just a dusting that if you blow your nose it's gone.  They initially put a 2 hr. delay on school for today but when the sun came up this morning they cancelled it altogether. This is our wet season over here so ain't much going on, rivers are to high and the ground is sopping wet.  If we get a sunny day I might go out to the beach and look for some agates and such.

TTFN,
Gramps

Gramps, I saw shots of Tillamook on the Portland news last night... I can see why you thought you might get a mini-flood!  You sure got plenty of rain yesterday.

Good luck on getting out to the beach and getting the agates!  Take care.

What griped me about the whole thing is that the winter here was so mild I thought I'd be up in the hills by now and then here comes the snow  Angry   Grin

I agree, Idaho!  But in this valley and area, if we have a mild winter we almost invariably have a crappy, cold, wet Spring!  Knowing that doesn't make it any easier!          Detecting

Welcome to the board Seaching, you folks down there have been toasty warm, wish we had a few of those degrees up here.  What part of Oz are in, myself I'm on the northern coast of Oregon where the Pacific storms come to party.

TTFN,
Gramps
