Hi GoldDigger1950  thank you for your support.

 Great Luc

My pleasure, mate. You weren't even really endorsing anything. You just effectively said, "Look a this quote. It's from this book."

Over the years, people have come here with products to sell and if they look as if they're just too commercial, good old Christian politely asks them to be a sponsor. If they're in the black (making good money), they normally agree.

Hello Golddigger1950

I totally agree with you.

There has been no overtly plugging of the book or documentary. When it has been mentioned it has been relevant to the topic.

Anyway even if there was? Unless you are state archeologist with a finger in the public purse how is one able to fund their research?

If any researcher working on a treasure project that is selling a book or a documentary to fund their research, then good luck to them.

Researching some treasure topic takes a lot of time and money.

With out these private funded treasure hunters of history the world will poorer place with a very selective view of history.

Hardluck.

Hello and GoldDigger1950 Hardluck,

I do not want to get into the argument employed by Fredio, these words are for me, without foundation towards my person.

Any private researcher with a  treasure highly probable that invests its time and inevitably its own money (unless you are sponsored like Howard Carter when he discovered the tomb of Toutankamon) by Lord Carnarvon, must at some point to appeal to a source of income generated through public debates, books and conferences to continue his research.

Publicity postings about the alledged tomb on this site will pursuade readers to buy Ben Hamotts books. I think this is a bad thing when a good forum site like THunting becomes a platform for commercialism.
Let the FACTS only be published, and keep the `money making` fiction where it belongs.
                   Fredio.

So I can no longer quote Karl von Mueller because he may sale a book.

Luc please keep up the good work and thanks for sharing with us, this is a great subject and I am really enjoying it.

I have to agree, since this thread was in responce to a direct question I asked and not a random advertisment. Any treasure tale out there has a book or two stuck to it, thats how we find out about some of them. Had Luc not chosen to post this I may never have known about this place or its story.

The fact that the DRAC entered into an NDA about this place tells me it's not a hoax or they wouldn't have cared about keeping it safe.

Hi HardLuck,

It seems that Bruce Burgess (Bloodline movie) would be manufactured faux.Ben Hammott also the game.

It is true that it's been quite some time as we await the opening of the supposed tomb.

Wait and see. If there was fraud to increase sales of his book, this farce has been built.

Hi Luc and Hardluc,
I have read the comments by Bruce burges and Whoop John, it seems to confirm what I thought about the tomb a long time ago.
I am not one to say 'I told you so ', but I do remember being put down at the time as a sceptic. We all want dreams and mysteries to BE true , sometimes its well to take a step back and look at things as the are and not what they may appear.

Hello Fredio

Thank you for your interesting post. Your sceptic comments in regards to the alleged discovery was never an issue. It was the perceived comments that We were knowingly plugging a fraudulent discovery to sell a book.

The topic was raised because of a genuine interest and attempt to understand these claims after all this is in "Treasure legends Forum is it not? Some times it is hard to determine fact from fiction when it comes to legends and such claims.

If you look back in the earlier posts I have always stated "alleged discovery" Sadly this alleged discovery to me now seems to be the stunt as you so elegantly put it "to sell books".

It is one of the dangers that Private Profit based enterprise faces when engaging in such resaerch. Worse still it is ammunition for archeological profession to condemn any independent resaerch. Other than their own state funded work paid for by my taxpayers money that I never see, only to pay again if I ask for it.

I am still a strong believer in private enterprise having a role even if the above fiasco is a very bad example. It reminds me of some researchers who spent years of their time on the Cocos treasure story. Interviewed only to have their comments digitally manipulated to support a producers ludicrous claims.

These days the Documentary production and books are very costly to produce with a declining profit margin. Sadly it is these pressures that the unscrupulous will resort to manipulating their discoveries and claims.

hardluck
