Sorry Homie, I should of posted the photo of the match striker, oh, well it is at the bottom now  Funny they used to remove the match from the box and then strike it on the strip on the side of the box. It is definitely a match safe  Great remembering also at those times, there were no safety matches, you could strike a match anywhere  Devil I have seen these things in antique shops and in photo's, but first time finding one  Kiss

Thanks Karl, I have done some research on the match safe and found it is from 1893 - 1900 with heart shape boxes being favored by the British which makes a lot of sense with where it was found, time period being spot on  Great I am in the process of cleaning it up, but still keeping it old looking, don't want it shining  No no! I will post a photo when it is done  Kiss

Oh, the irony!  Look at that Peter!  Some old Brit gave his heart to you...   and now you're gonna go back and be a Brit yourself!!     Huh?

Seriously, got the house up for sale yet?  How is that whole process goling?

The old heart cleaned up very nicely, didn't it?  Way to go!               Detecting

Hey Peter mate

I'm busy designing the PCB for the first pin-pointer version 9.8.3 yep that's the amount of times that I re-build and re-programmed it the 9 is for the amount of times that I build it on bread board the 8 is for the amount of times the I re-wrote the program and the 3 are the mods that I did to this particular programme but hey it will detect a copper coin at 40mm  so OK it still aint what I want it to be but it's a working prototype (Version one) by the way power consumption is very low but it will need two 9v batteries to run wonder if I can't use a transformer ..... will get back to you soon
