X came to stay the weekend with us in Westonaria  Great we had great fun as Friday was a holiday here in South Africa, so we all went to the zoo for the day... All the animals looked at X very carefully, as they were trying to figure what breed of animal he is  No no! even the monkeys were confused with him  Funny Funny Funny Funny

Saturday, we went to the old mining town of Bank which was knocked down in the late 1960's  Great We found lots of junk, especially car parts as the building we were searching was an old garage.... The best find was mine  Grin a 1929 South African Penny  Kiss also found some more modern 7.62 Blank rounds... what they are doing there, I do not know  Idea X, was complaining all the time over a few flies  No no! he is never satisfied  Thumbs Down The grass was long, but there were patches of shorter grass, this being where we detected.

We took X back home today, and had a Barbecue (braai) at his place before climbing in the car to come back home.... Altogether though, it was great fun  Clapp

Pgill those are some nice finds. Why not post them in Todays Finds for everyone to enjoy. Lots of folks don't read this thread
Thanks Seldom

Nice video, Peter!  Nice looking countryside, too.  Like Karl said, it looks like some parts of the States.  Next time you make one you need to use a little more lively music...  I about took a nap on the trip!  Play Megadeth or somebody like that to keep me awake!  LOL   Grin  Of course I had just eaten lunch and was drinking a little coffee.  But caffeine has never kept me awake!   Great video!  Thanks!

The music is "Public Domain" as you cannot use copyrighted music on Youtube.... In fact YouTube wrote me a email telling me that I had used copyrighted music in the video.... I put a dispute in on the music, and they have come back to me with a release.... No sorry though ... bunch of twits  Grin

The South African countryside, does look like parts of both Australia and USA..... That drive to X's takes about 1 hour, but is a nice drive. I thought the guys would like to see what we have here  Great

Peter, I looked at the video. It reminds me of central Texas where I lived for 10 years. Trees about the same size. I would guess you get about 45 inches of rain a year. It was interesting.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for watching my video... South Africa has a lot of similarities with lots of different countries, but mainly parts of the US and Australia... I think that is the reason why our people here emigrate to these places when they decide to move to greener pastures  Grin

I am putting together another video of our zoo  Funny that is where I found X hiding  Shame
