Hardluck, you are so right.... many of my childhood memories are from England (lived there until I was 13) then I lived in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia) for 8 years and then to SA in 1981.... I have many great memories of all the countries Great

Must admit though SA has a big impact on my life Clapp

I know what you mean when you say you have great memories of the other countries you lived in PGill. I lived in Holland when I was really small, I was born here, then we moved back for a couple of years. Those early years (I must have been around 5 when we came back to Africa again) had a massive impact on me. When I see pictures of Holland I get a weird king of nostalgic, yearning feeling. And I have vivid memories of my time there as young, as I was.
My Mom still has a shock when I talk to her about it....she is always amazed at the details that I remember.

With kids as small as mine I think about getting the hell outa here quite a lot....I'm not scared for me but we have to face the fact that our government is pretty much run by a bunch of thugs, and yes I know it can be argued that every government is run by thugs in one way or another......but it doesn't have a patch on the completely under qualified and corrupt people we have running this show. It's funny and serious at the same time.
This place if definitely not the same as is always was.....it's become a lot more dodgy IMHO. I worry about the future my kids will have here.

We are leaving to join up with both our families, and for us the UK is home :

But SA is very frustrating in these times No no!

and will get much worse before it gets better (like Zim) where I also lived, even fought in the army there...

Hi Guys

First let me say that the tower that connects me to the internet got shot by lightening Grin

hence I could not come to Thunting.com. having said that I want to tell you that I do NOT want to talk politics but I get news from abroad on a daily basis and the future of Europe is not a bright one as they are heading strait into a revolution, in fact it has already started I give it another 6 to 12 months before all hell will break loose. Yes we do have a shitty government at the moment but things are a changing just give it a bit more time.

All the countries are in the crap at this time, England also No no!

I am not leaving SA to go to greener pastures, but to be with our families. I know we are in for a tough time in the UK, but hopefully grind it out... At this time SA is still doing well when it comes to still being out of the recession, I just hope that it lasts... But SA has other problems which makes it a tough place to live No no!
