Understanding the difference between rights and privileges and realizing that privileges are earned at a cost would be more beneficial.    What is truly needed is lessons in Civics and Civil behavior...... including true respect is earned and honor comes from leading honorable lives.    Disrespecting an individual or group before they have proven themselves worthy of the disrespect is dishonorable behavior.

That is what we had in SA but then foreigners from all over came to South Africa to seek their fortunes BUT unfortunately for them their is no such fortune here and unfortunately for us they turned to crime in order to be able to sustain themselves. They say crime dose not pay WELL that is so wrong, you see the thief sells what he stole from you (and gets money), you pay an insurance and the insurance pays you when there is theft in your home BUT your premium goes up (They get more money out of you) with the money that you got from the insurance you buy a new what ever was stolen from you and the receiver of revenue gets his share (14%) shop owner makes a profit (the receiver of revenue gets more money) and of course all the sales create more import and once again the receiver of revenue get another piece of the pie so you see crime dose pay for some LOL

Grin Grin It's probably standing in someone’s bar or front door besides you're leaving SA and you can’t take it with you so stop stressing about it mate. You'll probably find a much nicer one in the UK anyway.

Hi,

Had the pleasure of working with a guy from Jo`burg , heard via him some of the daily day to day happenings over there, very much how Pgill descirbed it, and the whole house breaking and who`s got the rights Shocked He on the other hand wished to leave and is now living in U.K. quite happily doing his dream job of being a ghillie.
U.K. goverment made him jump through hoops in paperwork etc, but he made it. The U.K. test he had to sit  Shocked A high % of British citizens would be struggling to answer the majority of the questions they posed.

Hi  Wuzneme

A lot of South Africans have emigrated in the past 30 years, we were 4 million we are now a mere 1 million white South Africans and I fear that the situation will not get better unless we have a radical change in this country.

Hi All,

A Ghillie is a scots term.

Gillie
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
.
Ghillie or gillie is a Scots term that refers to a man or a boy who acts as an attendant on a fishing, fly fishing, hunting, or deer stalking expedition, primarily in the Highlands or on a river such as the River Spey. In origin it referred especially to someone who attended on his employer or guests.
A ghillie may also serve as a gamekeeper employed by a landowner to prevent poaching on his lands, control unwelcome natural predators such as fox or otter and monitor the health of the wildlife.

I think he ultimately wishes to be a game keeper, but the love of the great outdoors and hills is his passion, well that and the ever changing weather as opposed to the heat in S.A.  Smiley

Grin Grin Trust Peter not to know what a Ghillie is. I think that move of his is getting him down morally and mentally

I knew what a ghillie suit is/was, but my understanding of the origins wasn't quite as comprehensive as it is now that I've read wuzneme's definition.   (i.e. I knew that it had it's origin in Scotland with deer stalking)
