taurus, I agree and the reason for my comment is because why GD is here not up for debate, and he does'nt have to prove any treasure exsists no matter what country is the subject,, But Yammy Treasure stories is not based on fact, which is why so many people are looking for it and NO ONE is finding anything but rocks and trees with scratches on them, with fake cannon balls, maps, treasury box'es and fake barer bonds, do you know how many thousands of posts are here on Thunting and some of them posts are just outright Embaressing, and they talk of digging pits 22feet deep and then finding bottles and stones that they claim as treasure markers, when really all they have found is a land fill site or rubbish dump, and then they talk about finding concrete slabs 8ft down, the truth about those slabs is that we from the western world dig pits and pour concrete in them for Footings/Foundations in order to make a firm base to put buildings on and the weaker the ground or the bigger the building the Deeper we pour/Put the Concrete, Thats why people over there keep finding it deep down in the ground, and thats all it is, And it is not there becuase someone has placed treasure under it,

Hey all, I know the age old stories and heresay on these treasures too.

I think that whether there was anything left & hidden by the Imperial Japanese there really is of a secondary importance as far as the hobbyist is concerned. I think that it just makes more sense to keeping this hobby alive in the hearts of those who do believe they can find buried treasures whereever they might be, and that why not let those who think there may be treasure keep searching, so that they continue & stay in the hobby as long as they possibly can while enjoying the search for it, however fruitful or fruitless the search may be.
After all, it is the thrill of the search and the thoughts in ones own heart that unknown treasures lay everywhere waiting to be discovered by those of us lucky enough to be in this great hobby!

Just my own thoughts, but hey I'm with (Mel Fisher) and believe in his old saying: Tomorrows the day!
 Great

Cheers-

Thats right Mate, as long as people are having fun doing it thats all that matters, I think that no one needs to justify why they are at Thunting as long as are having fun and shareing the time of day, coz thats what friends do,
