Maybe if you went out treasure hunting you'd have something to discuss, mate.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

I am sure I would but a resent Heart attack and now torn chest and back muscles have put a stop to me having any adventures, for a few months and now winter is coming on that means more wasted time and when you consider that I have just spent over 6000 Dollars this past couple of months on new detectors and coils and accessories from all over the world, No one has anymore desire to get out more than me and now with the loss of a detecting / prospecting partner the desire to go out and make such finds seems of little importance.

I have made many posts this year and instead of just posting them on this thread As agreed/requested so they would not get lost amongst the small talk and some went un noticed some got side tracked in to BS Land and others just got ignored, so apart from saying to members why the £%$&ing hell aren't you posting on my thread What other options are there,

With some moderators going missing for months on end, Enjoying the MOD Status but giving nothing back I don't see why I should be doing it all,

Like me Some Moderators have had serious health issues so I understand why they have been AWOL and I would rather they got back healthy as opposed to worrying about this place, But others don't have the Luxury of such an Excuse.

I am here 24/7 and I can't do it all on my Own, Like I said the Arguments and the lack of input from Senior Members is mostly to Blame.

And the fact remains that 4 members are responsible for 45.607% of this years posts, And those members always give their All.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

135 Days well that's a double edged sword for my situation, Coz although I can't get out that 135 days gives me more time to get the money sorted for the RV, which is kind of cool  Great

just yesyerday I saw a nice E150 Day van/ Camper for sale but I still need to save some more cash

John we had one like that when the kids were growing up.
They loved it , so much so the youngest one cried when we sold it.
Ours had the 300 inline six cylinder.  Had 700k on it when we traded it.
Only problems with it. Was it went thru 2 starters
3 radiators and had to  replace the a/c compressor etc.
But for 700k miles thats not bad. Oh and u joints a couple of times.
And then the usual stuff . Brakes ,tires etc.

I was going to answer by PM but there's no reason for that.

I am concerned for THunting.com and nothing more. I get all the flack I do just because I remind people that if we do not discuss treasure here in the proper ratio to match our site's keywords, they are ignored. In days gone by, we used to take up the first 3 pages of Google returns when you searched on the keywords. Now,we are not in the top 10 pages. That's down 100% to off topic, nonsense. To Google, this site is no longer about treasure. Period.

And do you know who is causing that? The very people who find my objections to be a "crime" in their eyes. Now you watch as yet another argument starts all of which will not even mention treasure at all. More of the same. Utter nonsense and bullying. By them, not me. I simply ask for participation as does RR. Others here demand that I stop causing this when I am doing nothing more than reacting to it.

Folks, like it or not, we need more people discussing treasure hunting, coins, caches, money, hoards, maps, sunken treasure, beach hunting and all types of detectors. Then, and only then, will we get back into the Google rankings. There are a few here who think that the sheer volume of posts is what does it. Not true at all. The subject matter does it. Of course, that's MY fault.
