That's a Boat load of miles.

Yeah, but a person should be able to get 300,000 before pulling the heads on an unknown motor with a bit of luck, that has a 302 windsor lump in it which is about the same weight as a 240/300 six, the 302 weighs 463 lbs and that's not too bad aye.

Well my views are this forum is here for the Members Not to make Google look good, This is  but ONE thread and Thunting has 38410 others to make it famous

As for google Rankings, well google is just an access point and nothing more so they are not important there are dozens more browsers out there that could do their job without the BS, And This forum is here for the Benefit of the members so google can go and get £$%&$%

As I said this is just one Topic and we have 38410 other topics and we 20181 members with only 5 or 6 that use this thread, If people want to talk treasure then let the other 20175 get off their backsides and do something about it, A person can not expect 5 or 6 people to write the posts for the remaining 20175 people who do nothing ,

As it is we ( The 5 or 6 ) do write posts and post threads/Topics on the main Treasure/ prospecting Area of the Forum, If the forum is dying in the Arse then that is down to the senior members to get up off their back side and pull their weight in stead of just sitting back Bitching all the time,

John.i thought you were wanting the little camper or are you wanting the conversion van.now?
Both would be great in your treasure hunting adventurers  especially investigating alien crash sites.  Cheesy

Well I would like a camper, but that one just caught my eye, Plus I Love American Iron  Kiss Kiss Kiss

I will be happy with either or But if I find my self in a Jam I will get a 4x4/suv and a camper Trailer, an RV would be favourite coz it's all in one, and a might easier to park,  Great

We still have a pull behind pop up camper as well as the Motorhome.
Nothing wrong with a trailer there are times when I wish we still had the travel trailer.  Kiss

I was thinking like a Caravan type thing as a last resort, as long as I can have a place for the detectors and be comfortable then I will be happy I got every thing else sorted, I just can't wait to get out there.

I can't imagine how you keep one together for 700,000 miles.    Mine had 269,000 and everything went loose as a Goose.  Two Radiators  (Electrolysis killed  them and the Freeze Plugs ), Alternator at 77,000 miles (Garrenteed for 75,000 miles.  There good at that stuff ).    C-6 Transmission had issues with No Power in Reverse.  Never Park Nose Down and no way forward.

Go Up Go Down

It was mostly interstate miles for several years my wife would drive to her moms house pick her up
And take her for her cancer treatments and then back home usually 3 times a week with it all being doctors appointment s etc.
It was a  tough time then . It waz approximately 190 miles one way to get to her house then 80 something to Nashville then back to her moms then back to where we lived at the time.  Not to mention the vacations and grocery store runs and everything else.
That van went coast to coast a couple of times with me also.

Posted on: November 05, 2015, 12:13:19 pm
We had that van for over 10 years when we traded it in my friend who was our sales man said the dodge dealer sold it to ford so they could tear it down. It was the first time I'd ever heard of dealerships doing that.
Ive since learned that the manufacturer's send out a list of vehicles they buy back when they reach a certain amount of miles.etc.
Its good for there product engineering etc.

That I can fathom.  On Real Roads stuff wares out.  We know that engine is a Old Time wants to live beast.  As long as you change the Oil every 5,000 miles with better then Crude it will keep chugging on.  It's all the Other Stuff.   I would still be Driving ours if the Freeze Plugs didn't Rot out.  That's a Electrolysis thing between Copper the and Iron  Block.   Ran Strait anti Freeze . It cools better then Water here in the Desert.  It gets so hot here in the summers that tires POP running  on I-10 twice a month some times.  They Get Hot from Road Friction  , Ambient Temps and go South.  Bought   Firestone  New take off tires cheap for a while as the got a bad Wrap.  Nothing wrong with them.  Got 90,000 miles out of two sets I paid less then 1/3 going price. AT tires is all I would Run.  Good for Mud, Snow and Sand.  Bit of noise on the HW.
