Folks, I see an argument which is not necessary at all. So please let me point out some things so there are no misunderstandings and no hard feelings - for which there is no need!

Here are my thoughts and wishes:

I do not pay for Google Ad words. This site is indexed and ranked by Google depending on its content.

Yes, we do need a good Google rating / ranking so that people find this site.

Hence, YES please bring on teh treasure and metal detecting talk! It will help us to get up there and yes, this site is about treasure hunting. We should have lots of daily finds being posted, treasure storries to be shared and detecting questions being asked. This ought to be the core feature of the site. It is up to you! Please post your finds and talk treasure.

Then talking treasure is not the sole purpose of a treasure hunting forum. There also ought to be other things in ones life, those can be serious issues being adressed or just chit chat. So yes, we need the Art topic, too. It is also part of the site and I have no intention to bring it down but to keep it going.

But then again it is up to you folks what you wish to talk about. The worst thing is NOT to talk. Then we have a site with no posts and that is not what we want for sure.

And yes, donations are also of course always welcome. There is no obligation to donate. I leave this at the free will of our members. Who wishes to contribute is most welcome to do so but there is no obligation like on treasurenet for example.

SO to make it short: Don't argue. Talk folks! ... and talk treasure Wink

All I want is to be able to do my job as a moderator. As Christian says, we need BOTH chit chat AND treasure talk. And guess what? That is PRECISELY what I have been saying.

The ads we are seeing here are not treasure related or income generating for the site. We need more treasure talk. Do both, but try and keep the treasure talk at the higher ratio.

Like I said, People on this thread DO post Treasure topics throughout the forum But not on this Thread, AS Another moderator came up with the Great Idea of not posting Treasure related posts here because they would get lost here, So None of this is anything new because we have been doing that all along for over a year and a half Now. So just leave people on this thread Alone to do what they enjoy,

GD I have Started 52 Topics in the Past Year, 39 are Treasure / Prospecting related,,, YOU have Started 10 topics,,,3 of your Topics are Treasure/Prospecting related,, 2 Are Complaints on the Mod Board About (THIS) The ART THREAD and 5 are jokes and Waffle,

So Don't Go Pissing On My Boots and Tell Me It's Raining,

Now If YOU want to Give me about $6000 to fund a Vehicle then I will Get posting more Treasure finds from the past 3000 years ASAP, If not, Then You Have Nothing More Too Say.

Karl It's just a Youtube video. Flash or most others should work.

Carl. As it stands you need a FFL Finger Prints and BackGround Ck to own one as per law. If a bad guy wants one they will have one. As per the 2nd Amendment any one should be able to own one.

That's why no two people are seeing the same ads.
If you don't want to see porn then clear your search history before you comr here. It's as simple as that . Don't look it up before and when you get here be surprised it follows you. That's what Google is using your search history for to show You ads for subjects you have been searching for . Plain and simple.

I Karl,
I don't search for porno, and I do clear my search engine and delete cookies. The only thing I can think of is a friend sent me an email about 2 months ago with a link, and said "check this out man". When I clicked the link, it was a funny pix, but included naked women, of which I won't discuss. I deleted it and cleaned the search engine and cookies. I don't use Google, because I like Bing better. Maybe that is the answer.
