If an item is lost, no one knows where it is--it is unknown until the dowser finds it. That's what dowsing is. If someone else knows where it is (like when it is buried/hidden), you might be able to make the case for mental telepathy.

Dowsing is not divining.Everything else you said here is 100% accurate. Kiss
Anybody ever read Abbe' Mermett's book? Completely documented priest with phenomenal dowsing ability in France in early 20th century. This author's name is actually a closely guarded secret by current, alive successful dowsers. I'm not here to argue with anyone, but simply stating what my 20+ years of investigation into this topic has revealed. Abbe" Mermett didn't have no fancy-shmancy electo doo-hickeys attached to his pendulum. The trick is to discipline the mind. It is not that the rods, or Y-stick, or whatever is not working. It is your mind piling in more information AFTER you start dowsing in the field.Map-dowsing indoors is a controlled environment with few to zero distractions. Once one gets outdoors to the location indicated by map-dowsing, your distractions are multiplied +1000% versus indoors. ANY mind-chatter after one asks the initial question on-site (within one's mind) DOES throw dowsing results into the crapper. The trick is FOCUS, complete FOCUS after the initial question "seeds" the rods or instrument used. Each time a distraction DOES happen, and you accept you lost FOCUS, one must start from scratch. Re-FOCUS, cancel the instrument, state the question, and follow the rods where they lead, trusting 100%.Hmmmm....UNKNOWN vs. known has nothing at all to do with anything. This is another myth being created imo.OIL-people get filthy rich using this art of dowsing.Quietly smirking  :-Xat the scoffers, neigh-sayers and bunkers of dowsing, knowing FULL WELL it works, as they laugh Grin all the way to the bank. The Amazing Randi and his ilk keep rich-oil's SECRET a secret! These are just ideas that may or may not be true, which I've presented here.Take it or leave it, but I won't debate any of it. Mama didn't raise no liar. Tongue

I agree 100%, and have been trying to get this across for about 4 months. Anybody want to learn concentration, read Castaneda's books..... it will be dinned into you. And, I disagree about finding un-known treasure, I believe it IS possible, it is in the question!

I suggest that you go back and re-read post #29. I have been privileged to have worked with some of the most successful treasure hunter/finders in the world. At one time or another, we all tried dowsing/lrl locating in many different countries. IT DOES NOT WORK ON UNKNOWN, LOST, BURIED OR SUNKEN TREASURES.

So it only works when you know where the treasure is? Ok.

GD,
Dowsing will work in any format as long as there is someone living that knows where the target is. I have done a lot of research into this, and I am still completely in the dark about what is taking place. I was a A.R.E. member for a while, and had access to all of Edgar Cayce's  readings. There were quite a few on lost treasure or mines that he gave readings on. Some he told exactly from one known location to another where the treasure was still buried. The searchers sent many messages back and forth to Cayce, and received many messages in return. NO TREASURE WAS EVER FOUND AT ANY LOCATION.

I was taught that everything has a field and every field interacts with every other field--in the entire universe. Also if you limit yourself, well, you limit yourself. If you think you can only dowse during the full moon, you have limited yourself.

I am of a mixed mind on this subject.    I have never seen a treasure cache dowsed.   I have read reports of caches found by dowsing but in truth I don't know how reliable these reports are.

What I do know and have seen is dowsers successfully find water and bodies.    The bodies I am speaking of were buried in unmarked, forgotten graves in a cemetery.   The searching dowser would walk through the area to be searched, angle rods held out in front.  When he made a 'find' the rods would cross.  They would then probe with a steel rod into the ground to verify the grave.    I've seen this so I know it works.

I believe it would work with a buried cache but I don't know for sure.

Sedonan,

Reading through this series of posts I could only think one thing about your constant and emphatic use of caps.  That thought?  "He doth protest too much..."  It's all actually a double ruse!  I love it!

Makes me wanna go find UNKNOWN, LOST, BURIED OR SUNKEN TREASURE with my pendulum!  Grin
