Go Up Go Down

Hi, site newbie Steve here.  Here in East TN dowsing has been a long standing, reliable way to find underground streams, etc.  A man in Mid-TN has found a number of oil wells by dowsing.  Just a thought, but maybe the target must be "fluid".  Perhaps it's the change in electro, magnetic or whatever fields of the fluid action that the rods detect.  I am an untrained, amateur dowser and can fairly easily and reliably find water lines using only L shaped coat hangers and empty BIC pen casings for handles.  I'm a Christian too.  I'm not divining, or calling on some supernatural power.  I think dowsing is just making use of the natural world God created.

Many years ago I attended a metal detecting fair in South Australia one of the attractions was a chance to win a detector.
All you had to do was find a token that was buried under a load of straw scattered over a fairly large area. Sounds simple but the organisers were crafty, they had a wire fence surrounding the area and if you got close to the fence you would detect it.
The token was hidden close to the fence so those that tried knew or realised the signal they got could be the fence. The eventual winner was a woman using dowsing rods so maybe that will give you something to think about.  It may not work for everyone but Im sure it does for those who know what they are doing.   regards alan

I have a lot harder time finding an object that has been hidden by someone. I constantly ask myself, "Where would they hide it?" It really throws me off.

In the old days there were no banks or somewhere to deposit your goodies. If there were any they were miles away and transport was a problem.  Another reason might be what they were trying to hide was contraband and didnt want to get caught with it or it was too heavy to carry about.  So they dig a hole bury the loot, get killed or die or simply forget where it was buried in the first place.
This happened a lot in India where there were no banks and theres still a lot of goodies to be found. to ask why someone would bury it is simple to protect  what they consider was theirs and didnt want it stolen or found by anyone other than themselves.  simple.

Alan,
I think you should stick to treasure hunting and leave your mockery of Jesus and Christians to yourself.

Im not mocking Jesus its documented by historians in the first century that lived and documented that jesus survived the cross and was bought to Britain lived and died there. Before making snide comments such as this why dont you read it up for yourself to find all the lies the Roman Church fed to children and brainwashed them  maybe yourself too.
Read all the Gospels that are not included in the Bible read the Nag Hamadi do some research yourself before you attempt to discredit others.
The Roman Church as a lot of answer for it exterminated 1000's in the Spanish inquisition...  It killed almost every member of the Knights Templars.   The church leaders act like Gods which they are not.  They break the ten commandments THOU SHALT NOT KILL.
The men inm black from the Roman Church are not the real christians you would expect them to be look at Ireland and the way the priests abuse innocent children?   Thats not what Jesus would of taught get you facts right before you condem me for revealing the truth about a sinister bunch of people that procect the biggest business in the world today.

Alan, I don't know who offended you in the past or why you harbor these feelings.  But I for one know the Christ you deride and He loves you regardless.

I do agree that this forum is not the place for your rants.  We come here to glean and share information on Treasure Hunting.  I am a newbie here and this detour leaves me not wanting to return.

Let's stick to treasure hunting and save our personal beliefs to other forums.
