I understand the reason for secracy especially with the possibility of such a large volume
of treasure. It would be nice to know what his theory is though. I always find it mind boggling  how such a large amount of treasure goes missing, but there is always an explanation!!

Well the reason I will not join him is I don't think it ever left  Mexico. And we have work together off and on for years he just wants me to agree to join him before he shows his cards. I understand I have done the same to him in the past.

If you decide to join him it could be a good idea. Having worked with him in the past is
also good because you know what he is like ... It should be nice to se what cards he is holding

Hello Goldnboy

It seems most of the players in this story was from California. There has been considerable debate in other forums on this topic with some interesting comments about the validity of the identity of some of the people involved.

Thats a good point Hardluck and one we run into all the time

It was reported that Elliot made 10 flights from August 1933 until November 1933 in order to move all the Mexican gold.
Yet I could never find anything out about him not his real name?

I think Frank used GPR in some areas but don't think he ever claimed to have located the cache

Hello All

Another problem I see with the story is the amount of gold moved by the aircraft? For the amount of gold allegedly carried into the USA to the amount of flights claimed. It was an impossible payload for that type of aircraft.

The alleged Pilot Bill Eliot from memory died in WW2, but many researchers claim there was no record of him dying in WW2. Other researchers claim it was another pilot?

But the fact remains that there was a legal case where treasury became involved. What was the motives behind the case has never been solved to this day. There was some interesting characters called to testify.

Perhaps hunting down information on key players will reveal more of the mystery.

Hardluck

GS you will find there are many big and little treasures out there most folks have never heard about. Hard core hunters will know about them from research but if they are not exciting or romance most writers will not write about them. These are the treasures that are found every year by the hard working hunters.
