Here is a REAL! Spanish Map...
It is written, on a Black Vocanic Rock in New Mexico..
On a Treasure Site ...Along with many other signs ..
This number of signs, several over 8 feet in lenght/high.
IE: Large, 6 -8' high, "Look-At-Me" Rocks, 8' Long Carved Turtles, Etc.
Indicated by the size & number of signs, that the treasure MUST! BE! Huge!
So!
Let me know what you think !
Remember, each little detail has MEANING(s) !

Well Dean!
There wouldn't be much in the way of treasure left, if the maps were "a quick look and you can figure them out" !
Heck!
People would, if they could reach the area by vehicle, & w/o having to do any walking,
Drive up and load up and be home for dinner~
I can intrepid all but "four", of the subtle signs that are shown!
Of Course! You know, that the
....upside down "U" w/the "cross" on top,
Means this treasure is in a mine/tunnel/cave and The Cross means, that the treasure belongs to "The Church" !
Really very simple, in fact, that is usually the problem..
"We", TH'ers today try to read much more into these signs, than there is!
"Yesteryear !"
The average person/priest had about a, "today, equiv.," of a 4th grade education!
Heck!
If they could read anything at all!
They were considered to be "A very Educated Person"   Tongue
If A TH'er doesn't do HIS Homework !, he can't ever expect to beable to intrepid these maps!
Like anything else in life, you have to educate or be educated !
PS!
"We" Know:
That!
This treasure consists of a very large, stack of 72 lb, 67%, gold bars !
&
As of Today!
This treasure, has cost EIGHT LIVES!  Undecided
That "we", know of !

Just be careful.  You can't enjoy all that treasure if it kills you.  If you are having some trouble with some of the signs you may want to check treasure hunters university.  I know THU used to have quite a bit of information about treasure signs.  If you haven't been to THU the site is

TH'er "U" was a good idea....
But!
AND!  Wink
I don't want to be seen as "blowing my own whistle",   :Smiley
BUT!
He has only been around for around two-3 yrs or so!
I have been in TH'ing for many more decades!
I have a library of hundreds of references and research materials(Leads/stories, etc).!
This Spanish Treasure Sign/map has symbols, not mentioned in any of them!   Sad
I would say, that I have, over the yrs, seen as many OR! more!, symbols, that are not mentioned/described, than I have seen, that are described somewhere!
This symbol, below, I found along the Jornado Del Muerto, near Point of Rocks, NM.
         /\
         \/
         /\
         \/
         /\
         \/
It is about 3 feet high/long, and by itself, it is on a 15' high vertical slab of rock, near a small cliff w/many more symbols !
Ever, see or hear, of a symbol using, three diamonds, like this?
OR!
For that matter, ever hear/see, of ANY! Diamond shapes, like the one above?

I haven't been to the site in awhile now so maybe it is inactive right now.  Or maybe he just hadn't had time to update it lately.  Last i had heard he had published a "fieldbook" of sorts about different treasure sign/symbols and their meanings or possible meanings.

Not real sure what the name of it was right off hand though.

Lots of luck on your search and may you reap many rewards.

You can buy various books on/about treasure signs at your book dealer...
Just check his catalog, under "Treasure" Symbols/signs...
Some of, The best ones, are from "Kenworthy" !
He has a series of books out!
I have books dating back to the '50s,  so "they", books on T'signs,  are not, anything new!
Most of what I have seen in later editions, are just "Repeats" of earlier author/books, etc ..
Every now and then a new sign or symbol will appear ...
Makes me wonder , if some of the authors, of a/that particular book, isn't above making/inventing, a few new signs, based on some of the old originals!
I have that book by THU !
You can usually find some thing new in any source,
SO!
I buy these, because..
I like to see what is out there!
BUT!
In the case of this "Map", none of the sources that I have, are much/any help, if the sign is beyond the normal, common sign/symbols!
By, Knowing the terrain around the map area, I can pretty well guess/figure out, what it is saying!
BUT!
Still,
There are some symbols that just defies understanding.
Look at the map!
You'll find about 10 signs !
On the arrow itself, there are 5 different signs!
Actually, on the total, map surface, there are more, but they are so small, that they don't show up in the photo!
AND!
One symbol, is totally unknownUndecided
Has never ever!
Been mentioned, any where, that I have ever seen/heard of !
Grin   I can guarantee, if you can solve this, you'll never ever, have to work again!    :Smiley
