i dunno if this is a yamashita treasure, in a coconut tree we found a X mark then we dig the ground nearby and under it we found lots of rocks maybe about 5x5 feet forming a square shape and 4 feet below the ground. then we removed the rocks and then found nothing below the rocks so we stop digging after the rocks are removed coz we think its a waste of time. any idea whats the X mark is for and the rocks under the ground???
thnx

gboy, ty for you're comment. but m pretty convinced that the heart, with the footmarks, are signs, not made by lovers...(tho perhaps the spanish guy who made it is in loved by that time... Wink) ..Besides, the tree is in the middle of the forest where only monkeys would dare go dating.  Grin...If you notice the pix i posted before, you will see that the engravement removed a deep layer of the bark of the tree. and compared to the usual heart marks, the other lobe is larger..I haven't posted the footmarks yet, but they were also engraved deep. but yes, I do agree with you that marks were usually engraved in rocks...though i saw one heart mark that is of the sise of a bus! jst kidding..but yes,i saw a heart sign but its about 3x3 meters..it is composed of two rocks, obviously joined together...
As for now, m considering the previous comments re the marks...tnx tho.  Smiley

amigo,
goldfish

hi goldfish,

try to use compass to get the direction of the tip of the heart.  then, get the vertical measurement of the heart in inches if below 12" convert in to meters but if more than 12" convert it to ft..  from the tree where the heart carved follow the direction of the tip of the heart ex. NE.   let say the vertical measurement of heart is 8" so 8 meters. ryt? so from the tree you measure 8 meters NE direction. also dont forget to measure the deptness of the carved heart in centimeters and convert it to feet, perhaps this will be also the deptness where you can hit your target. juz 1 cent for ur marker.  Wink

Mr. Goldfish when we talk about heart symbol it means gold treasure. but when it was on tree, that's is not a strong sign of gold but a marker pointing or assisting the area of gold buried. but when the heart sign engrave in a stone it means treasure under, but remember if it was accompany by a sign of a circle or period in the middle of the heart, it means lured so that you dig for nothing.

Hey guys there are only few markers on the Japanese engineer log books. and they are methodical and mathematically done with numbers, Japan North, arrows with tail and more than one tails, triangles etc. but fish, turtle, foot what's next? if there is no correlation with engineering coded calculations then I say good luck. After that you will find markings like bats, frog, flowers etc. everyday there seems to be more markers being discovered. Is our older ancestors then are communicating with signs? since in South East Asia the Philippines is the only country without her own alphabet. I wonder why. I think we have to gather all this signs and analyze their meaning they might be our long lost and forgotten alphabet. Somebody must gather and investigate this would be a great find by the Filipinos to have our own identity.

If your codes have nothing to do with mathematics then think about it. Japanese codes are written with mathematical solutions not just signs, symbols, figure etc. what's the use of deciphering codes when time comes to retrieve it in the future if you can't calculate, measure, triangulate using the sun the topography and permanent objects. I think there is only a few if not less than a hundred.
Most of the codes you have might be our ancestors type of communication and others they are codes left by Japanese retrieving soldiers to confused later on TH.
