I use the Silver umax and love it's ability to switch back and forth from a/m to disc. modes. The ED 120 disc. allows it to get the discrimination to just above iron at it's lowest setting, and that works great in tot lots and school yards. For trashier areas, I have an old Royal Sabre that I've kept for years and cannot part with. I can adjust it similar to the Golden umax and have about the same results. I like the "trash talk" capabilities of the Tesoros. Thanks Clapp

I have a confession to make,I love Tesoros because they love to find gold! My old competiton machine (sidewinder) finds rings like no other, plus it can find coins on edge better than anything I ever hunted with.My stingray just smokes my excalibur in the water on small gold.
On gold coins the cheaper Amigo can keep up with the best of them I have tested this in my coin garden many times. The only bad thing about tesoros is they do work well in a trashed out place.A few years ago I was a tesoro dealer maybe that started this love affair are it could be be that they just find the finds. Detecting

I own a toltec 2 that I am currently re-learning how to use.Today this involved reading the manual on how to tune it in 20 mph winds at the park I was at. Great [nono]Frank T.

Put me on the list. I use a vaquero for parks, beaches, old homes and old plantation relics.I really like the fast retune and excellent disc mode. Deepest coin was a clad dime at better than 10 inches. Found a 1" square bar with a metal plate attached last week end at a measured 26" while hunting a old 1800s house site. I know large pieces give a strong signal return, but  this much depth surprised me.

I have two Tesoros, a Corte's and a Tejon...
The Tejon is my favorite non TID detector, my Corte's doesn't get out much any more. Smiley

My wife LOVES her Cibola Outback, great detector! Detecting

I bought a Compadre with 8" coil two weeks ago. So far it did not disappoint me. Two times gold and almost six hundred current coins.

Enough power to find recent losses on the dry beach. or wet sand, I use an FBS unit.
