Cornelius,

Dennis here, I have a question about capacitor type in the parts list.  What type is a "market or MKT" capacitor, translators are useless in this case?  Also could you tell me what function names of the potentiometers are and if you have a tune & test procedure, IE what adjustment to make to get a desired output at a testpoint could you send along?

Many thanks,
Dennis

Vdub,

If you have a schematic you will see a provision for phones is there at bottom right.

Dennis
The group,

Anybody in the European theatre of operations who wants to chime on what type of capacitors those listed by Cornelius as "market & MKT" are?  Come one come all, all ye are welcome to take a shot at the big bouncing ball.

As a long time Cap Engineer (U.S.) I don't recognize "market & MKT" as being a type designation. Back to Cornelius...

Hi,
MKT capacitor is using polyester type resin foil as dielectric. Any multilayer type of capacitor will do.

regards,
d.

no matter what kind of markings, "MKT,KTM,TKM etc just follow what those experts say who succesfully build the machine. or just experiment to your own. don't argue to those markings just post your machine here the one you build with schematic and pcb.

MKT capacitors use a metallized polyester film dielectric  called polyethylene terephthalate (PTPE), resin-sealed into a moulded plastic box for better reliability.

Unlike normal greencap type polyester capacitors, MKTs have a consistent physical size and constant lead spacing, thus aiding CAD of circuit boards.
