I'm sitting in the back yard with a gold pan, a hose and a big bucket of dirt and rocks. Oh yeah, and it's dark outside. I haven't found any gold yet.
Is this normal?

Maybe I should wait til the sun comes up.  Idiot

I've been in a similar scenario before. Grin Wouldn't call it gold fever.....it's more like gold-eagerness! If the mosquitoes aren't bothering you too much, pan on! It sure beats spending the evening at a karaoke bar.

When I go gold sluicing that's my normal night. Sitting around panning out the fines. Since I'm away from home, I even flat rate ship the concentrates back home.

normal is a setting on a dryer, at least thats what I tell myself to make me feel better about the things I do lol. Is it normal to ride a bicycle to a crack and crime infested area in the city at night because you want to try out a new detector where you can find older coins more easily? When I got my F2 thats what I did! lol  The cops stopped twice and ID'd me and told me they werent responsible for my safety lmao

Normal is what is NORMAL for you!

Being shot at is NOT normal for me.   Some Places of the world it is.

Finding Nuggets is Normal for some people in AZ and CA.   Not here in New Mexico. We just find the Sugar size stuff and are most happy with it.

Drinking a Beer a day Is Normal for Me.   For Some Folks that's Exeseve and NOT NORMAL!

Putting up with A  Female Dog type Wife is Normal.  NOT HERE!

Here Normal is A None Dog type Wife That likes to pan gold.

Likes my cooking!

Gives me Gas Money when I ask her (Do you want to go Panning?)

Yep, That's my NORMAL!

Last time I did that we had a whole sluicing operation in the yard so yeah it's normal says I...  Grin

See you fill up the buckets with dirt then drive on a bumpy road and settle all the gold to the bottom. Never find much till that last pan!  Wink

Last pan? That's what I'm hoping. Haven't found anything shiny yet. Gonna run out real quick + buy a classifier (I think the one I McGyver'ed out of chicken wire may be too big) then I'm gonna get stuck in.

Hey, maybe my home made classifier would be perfect for finding chicken nuggets.
