Pgill, I was curious why they 'eat tea' when tea is something you drink?  Hmmm probably like calling the trunk of the car the 'boot'.
Well mate, be sure to keep that willie out of the jam in the boot, that would hurt and happy hunting all!

X...  congratulations on the metal detector!  Look forward to hearing your reports on hunting with it and seeing your finds!  When you get out with it then we won't have to hear anymor complaints about how work interferes with you play!  LOL!   Grin

Peter, sorry to hear about the heating system -  that is a real bummer!  Good luck with getting it fixed.  Is the landlord covering that?

Very windy here today, snow on the ground but fairly warm, around 40F.

Good luck an Merry Christmas everyone!

Yeah, X, I'm pretty much done detecting until Spring.  Get an early one if I'm lucky!  By the way, I left a post for you on the meteor shower thread about the meteor showers.  Check it out.

Now, instead of  Detecting,  my signature will be   Wise  until Spring!                Wise

Angry Well could not wind the coil today, instead I was busy stressing about one of the guys that put his hand under the lawnmower while I was fixing it and the darn thing was running (NO he's not death) I must admit that this accident was a wake up call for me although I'm super careful with machines. Now this poor chap is minus one finger but it could have been a lot worst, in fact I initially thought that it was a lot worst and that I would have to pickup a few more pieces. Any way coil winding was not something that I felt like doing tonight.

Hopefully he has learned a valuable lesson as well.   If so, considering what could have been the outcome, he will have learned it rather inexpensively.

A bloody shame really, he is a very good guy that has been with us for over 12 years now.

xavier... you spray weed killer on grass that your cattle eat?!! No, we'd really rather not hear about that part of it.
 Huh?

The weed killer that we use is only effective on broad leaf weeds and has no effect on the grass, remember that this is done just as the grass has established itself, in other words 50 day's before it will be cut and  baled. Also you should remember that only 7 liters of it is used per Hectares or to put it to you in an other way 0.7 ml per square meter.

I hear you. We have chickens in our back yard, and we don't use any chemicals at all on our lawn because they eat the grass constantly. And, the last thing we need to do is have them ingest that toxic crap that's for sure. So, only our front lawn gets sprayed. Too bad too. The front looks really good, and the back is all scruffy/mangy looking oh well. Our girls are happy and that's what matters.
