Well Guys I dodged another one !! Stood on the front porch and watched that big swirling son of a gun go right down the hwy about 1/8 of a mile from me. it Dumped huge amount of rain on us and winds like ya'll wouldnt believe, and now the sun is out, go figure !!

Listneing to the police scanner now , got tractor trailer big rigs thrown all over the road and cars in ditches everywhere. what a Mess !! :-

I think we got a break in the weather right now, not sure how long it is going to last though !!

Man I hate them MONSTER's Tornado's are never fun, just terrifying !!

I feel for those folks who just went for a ride on the big road though!!

i dont see how for metal i have seen it work on waterlines but not ground water other than on that show they drilled a few feet away 400 feet and didn't hit water saved the home owner $$ but could have been luck ,

Josey My folks used a drilling team to come out and drill a well them boys dug 3-5 wells cant remember how many it was, anyways the neighbor told my dad to call this one guy said he was a dowser and that he would guarantee them water, Well the old man showed up with his sticks told my dad and that team where to dig and sure enough they hit water. So yeah I believe they can find water ive seen it with my own eyes.

But i have never ever seen one find gold or any other treasure.

If I ever said waterwitching was pure and total bunk that was no way, no how possible, I'd be permanently in the doghouse with Mrs BA. Her grandfather was a professional dowser in Washington state with state contracts. He used to take her with him when she was between 6 and 8. One time he asked her to hold the stick and count the number of times it dipped (after he'd found the location). This was to determine the depth. Turns out she was even better at witching the depth of the water table than he was. So, I've got a choice between taking the wife's word for it or living with consequences of not being at least partially open minded. And given how many things I've both seen and done that still do not have a valid scientific explanation.....I come down firmly on the "I'm skeptical, but....open" side of that discussion.

I will say that I am 100% convinced that dowsing will not work unless the dowser believes it is at least possible....and the more strongly the person believes it is possible the more likely he or she is to be successful (even if it is only because they unconsciously become more receptive to clues they are seeing and consciously ignoring).
