Hello All

Don Jose and that coffee Coffee If I was a fish you have suckered me in hook line and sinker. I'm just a sucker for a good story. Grin I would really like to see you get you hands on more historic documents

I dare say few if any could match what has been your life long quest on this topic... So it is bit of a learning curve for all, including my self

As mentioned I do have a few more things to post...

I have hundreds of documents from South America and Mexico all in mixed batches. Some are very hard to read and take a long time work out what they relate to. Some go back to 1610. Amomg this jumble of history may or may not have a reference to Tayopa. Many have ancient names mentioned that do not exist today and working out the orgin of some of these documents require a vast amount of time.

He is example of one of the documents on how hard they can be to read. It could take years  and a life time to chase down a document

I may know at least 4-5 places worth looking for possible Tayopa documents but never had the precious commodity of all time to follow up. However I have more pressing projects that require my time for now.

I will be back soon.

Hardluck

Hello Don Jose

Here is a 1860 newspaper story that mentions Tayopa, what you might find interesting that this 1860 story mention Tayopa records in Chihuahau. There is a possability that some of these records still exist?

Perhaps a interesting lead to follow up?

Be back soon.

Hardluck

Remember. this is not a book review, but a forum. and also a study to see if the legend of Tayopa is true and if I actually know what I am talking about.

First off you are not applying common sense or  logic to your search. True the Spanish operated mines in the area. True the Spanish abandoned the mines for one reason or another. Also true the Spanish had 100's if not 1000's of locals working the mines so the mines were not lost only abandoned. Over the years the locals worked the mines for their own profit probably for several generations.

You have beat this subject to death on other forums to the point of claiming to have found the mines only to fade away when asked for proof.

This is a treasure forum not a coffee shop so if you have new info or proof of the mines then post it

Go Up Go Down

good morning seldom, you gave me a good chuckle for my morning coffee.  Join me?

You posted -->First off you are not applying common sense or  logic to your search
*********
Quite probably I am missing some things, but so far it has served to locate Tayopa, La Gloria Pan,and a few others.  what do you have in mind ??
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You also posted -->True the Spanish operated mines in the area. True the Spanish abandoned the mines for one reason or another. Also true the Spanish had 100's if not 1000's of locals working the mines so the mines were not lost only abandoned. ****************
I echo your 'true', but none of those were Jesuit mines deliberately hidden.??
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You also posted-->You have beat this subject to death on other forums
*************
Again possibly true, but in here there appears to be many of a different opinion, shall we say 1013 hits in just 4 -5 days  ?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You posted -->claiming to have found the mines only to fade away when asked for proof
************
I have never faded away??  As for proof I have posted numerous photographs of the area, including some with Tayopa in them.   Of course I never identified where Tayopa was for obvious reasons, nor will I, until the gov't gives me certain rights.  Tayopa is a Patrimony of Mexico, they own .it.   But they do not know where it is, nor will I tell them until we reach an agreement.
As for posting it in a public site, such as this, forget it, . I would be an idiot to do so
All posts in here are open to the entire world.
Example  post 'Tayopa' in your favorite search engine..   This is what appeared in 30 seconds,  my post to Hardluck.
Hmm I always thought that they  were almost the same, a get together to talk of different things?  coffee is, of course, a necessity
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You posted --> so if you have new info or proof of the mines then post it

Apparently what is being posted 'is new' to most of our friends that are reading this data, or they wouldn't  be here..

I am posting a picture of a card of a group of which I was duly elected into.  As a matter of fact I am rather proud of it, You have to 'earn' entrance, talk alone is not sufficient, nor do you buy your way in.  However you 'can' be expelled for lying about any of your papers or claims of discovery, etc.
