I live in the southeast and know a person that is trying to get a TV show with a producer in LA. I hope you are not that person. His show is supposed to be called "pawn divers" where he and his minions try to get real treasure hunters to show them their honey holes that he says "will be kept a secret" The premise of the show is to dig up valuable artifacts and fossils etc. then try to sell them to make money. This is not only illegal, but it will put the hobby diver licensing programs in the southeast in jeopardy. I have already contacted the SCIAA in South Carolina and the South Carolina State Museum. I want our hobby to be alive and legal for years to come. These shows that promote treasure hunting for profit are going to ruin the hobby for those of us that do it to enjoy the hobby and find new discoveries to share with the world.

Hi I am interested in your new show project.
We have a bit of a different angle than just metal detecting. I have a business partner/friend who we share a huge passion for hunting ancient artifacts. We mainly go after thousands of year old Archaeological sites that are scheduled for destruction by way of a farming practice, land leveling.
We work to save the history, documenting our finds and the site, before the big equipment totally demolishes an important site.
We have sifting equipment and small 4 wheel drive tractor, and are working on purchasing ground penetrating radar.

I have attached a link for more information, and my picture

I'd be interested in this depending on the premise of the show. If you want to see my pic, check out the Garrett AT Pro ad-the guy in the tan shirt and brown jeans is me! I can be funny too, I crack myself up all the time! Thanks for your consideration.

Hello Heather,

With a long established passion for the searching of History, I'm the head of a Metal Detecting Club based in the county of North Yorkshire (UK), with 62 active members we search farmland for coins and relics, However we proud ourselves with bringing a modern approach to the hobby by introducing extensive historical research into our new potential sites an d also introducing new search methods including geotagging of finds and grid searching.

North Yorkshire is steeped in history so good finds are quite common and sometimes we unearth the most unusual items where you would least expect them. The club (Lost Kingdoms) would welcome an Inclusion in your production. I should also stress that our membership is very varied male / female with lots of bubbly characters !! making a friendly club..

Could I suggest that a production cover all the different aspects of the hobby for example, Beach Detecting / Gold Prospecting / Coin & Relic Hunting.

Regards
Darron  Detecting
