I find people only like the police when they need help! Just think every call we get there is usually a good guy and a bad guy....Of course everyone thinks they are the good guy! So when we have to figure out who is the bad guy>>>example a fight>>>we become the bad guy by doing our job! In the case of this ring, everyone is screaming foul!! Usually the case when no one knows the law! This instance would be very easy to check out. When we prepare a police report, as in this case there definitely should have been one. First there is what we call a RD# created this stands for report number. This becomes a permanent record of the report itself. The property, in this case the ring would be inventoried, this would create a permanent history of where the ring went. So before everyone cries foul, maybe they should realize it is a little harder for someone to just steal something as in this case..... So sure it could happen, but probably not. I would guess this item was given a report number and inventoried as lost/found property. DFX-Gregg

Dean right now I am cleaning out a few local parks. We have so many parks in the area. I have a list of over 10 that I can hunt right on the way home in the morning after work and over 50 not that far away. Here there needs to be tons of parks due to heavy population. All the suburbs also have parks. I also live 10 minutes from a very large forest preserve. I am mainly pulling clad, over $140 last three months hunted and over 2000 coins. I researched all the parks I have a long list! The city mainly took possession of the park properties in the 1930's adding soil and so on. I have been able to pull a few silver coins also some gold and silver rings. I have to wait till March to start hunting again, we are averaging around 5 to 9 degrees for a high since late January. Drdtector none of my inventories have ever been lost! In Chicago it is a pretty sophisticated system. Everything is kept in a tracking system and is secured. I get paid well and are there a few idiots in the group? Sure human nature I guess....greed... DFX-Gregg
