interesting idea.

The site evolved over a period of time.

 I think the cemetery was there before the monk cells was built around it? The main section of the church was the oldest with additions as the site grew over time. More buildings was erected as the role over the centuries changed at the site.

There was a map somewhere giving the approximate date of the buildings on the site. Huh?
