Hello Luc

Now I understand a little better.

Another thing. You mentioned "The feel of the Chartreuse overcoming Fountain St. Jean Baptiste."

If you look in the painting you will see a fountain in the background. Is it the Fountain St Jean Baptiste?

Do you think there might be a connection???

Hardluck  Huh?

I am sorry for you, after several searches on the net and in books I can not confirm you that the fountain St. Jean Baptiste of Villeneuve-lez-Avignon is one of the table. If someone on this forum has information that may interest us not hesitate to contact us.

Hello Luc

There is a website article

You are not allowed to view links.
Please Register or Login

http://www.avignon.fr/en/visites/visite5en.php
that suggests that The fountain St. Jean Baptiste had a new dome put over it?

Perhaps the fountain St. Jean Baptiste is in the picture below?

Is it the one in painting the fountain of St. Jean Baptiste before a dome was put over it???

Why was the fountain portrayed in the picture?

So many questions

Hardluck  Huh?

Hi Hardluck,

Many thanks for our internet link, I have read again the story about Forbera but no indication concerning the localization origin of the fountain St Jean.

It's one point without response, so wait one day we can have more information coming from another member of this site.

I have found another picture of this fountain ( dated around 1880 ). See below.

Good day for you and all the best

Luc

Hello Luc

Thank you for the interesting Photo of the Fountain.

There is a newspaper story about some treasure or money found at Villeneuve Avignon from the late 1940's. The story at least made it to Australian newspapers.

I am not sure it is related to the monastery but I will try to hunt it down.

Hardluck.

Hi Hardluck

It would be interesting if you could find this newspaper article, for those like me who are following this story is one more brick to the edifice.  Great

Hello Luc

Here is the newspaper stories that may or may not be indirectly related to the treasure allegedly buried at Villeneuve Les Avignon?

The question is where did this proceeds come from Nazi looting or from the sale of treasure discovered?

Hardluck  Wink

Hey Hardluck

Thank you for this information, I tried to found in the French media, but I found nothing about it, nothing about a treasure.
Nothing about the dowser and nothing about the events at Avignon in 1941. Perhaps a member of this forum who lives near Avignon in France may perhaps give us some more info.

For now, the story is very interesting too, must it be closer to that of Villeneuve-Lez-Avignon?

Thank you again for this information Hardluck

 Great  Luc

If you read all the story " le tresor des chartreux de villeneuve les avignon", you will find something about that, in the part " un myst?rieux assassinat" but it was in 1944 and not in 1941.
