What about the 5v apposed to the 3.3v on the pin pointer?

yes. The 100 ohm would have passed 33 Ma (too much), and the 200 16.5 Ma. Probably not enough to light the LEDs brite enough for daylight use. Besides the clock module is 5 volts, just as easy to make them both the same with one additional part instead of 3. That's what I'm thinking.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

Thank you Saromines for you contribution. While it is hard to determine if the .asm or the hex file will work, I was still able to determine from the listing that the MCLR option is off therefore pin 4 is set as GPIO which means the switch connected to it is actually a calibrate function and not a reset function. This will help in rearranging that asm file back to something more readable. Is there a reason that the original .asm fie is not available or is this something that was pirated? I also determined that program code is protected. If one wants to work with the file it should be set to off. (_CP_OFF) Also the watchdog timer is being used and the chip is set for external clock in. All that info in the _OPTION REG will be of value in translate the tokens in your .asm file. There is a lot of code so it will be a slow job but I will get it.

Again, thanks for your work.

I added this line to the asm file just after the config statement.

errorlevel -302 ; suppress banksel warning messages

This gives a cleaner build

Saromines,
have you decode the first version of PM2 yet? That was the fast version

Not yet, But I'm still working on it.

Thank you. That is the one I plan to use, that is if it is working code. How did you come about this design, if I may ask?

Well best of luck to you. Hope it arrives soon. Meanwhile I will start on arranging the asm file into something a programmer can read without going bonkers with all of those address placeholders. I will use meaningful labels and tokens. I did it once long ago for an 8035 processor. Only took a year, but code was 10 times bigger. Also will test what I have with the first schematic. Keep us posted. Several of us are anxious to build.

Say anyone got a schematic for an LRL Pinpointer? Laughing Laughing. Maybe I should move this over to the Joke section. Funny
