Hello!
My first post outside of the introduction section, and I'll apologize in
advance for the tons of newbie questions I will no doubt ask. I was hoping to
find the info before having to post, but I'm afraid I'm missing the way
to get the information I'm looking for...
I have a White's CM4-D that I just brought out of storage from a family
member. I actually have two control boxes, but only one coil. One control
box has a burnt resistor, and eventually I may have to pull the *other* box
apart to ID the resistor value, but in the mean time I thought I'd ask here
to see if anyone might have a schematic for this model available. I don't
have enough posts to be allowed downloads yet...
Hopefully I'll be rectifying
that soon.
The second box passes the battery test, but I get no reaction to test
objects after going through the calibration routine listed in the manual.
In addition to the schematic, would anyone have information as to the
electrical specs of a White's 4B coil? I think I've figured out the pinout,
but have no way of verifying the integrity of the coil. What other coils
might work on this detector should the coil be part of the operating problems
(aside from just general user error
)? I've tried what I thought would be
appropriate search terms, but haven't located the info I need. The manual
didn't list optional coils, and I didn't see that information from White's,
most likely due to the age of this machine.
If no schematics exist, I'll post images, and I can eventually work out a
circuit diagram, but while I can fix broken things, I'm not always good at
re-drawing schematics based on the circuit board itself.
Thanks very much for any information!
Cheers-
Chris
