Hello again Iman . It could be the intensity or brightness adjustment for the LCD screen !!!!

hello iman, for dp/xr71. in my openion, if you use lcd for metering purpose and you should need pic,pic programmer,hex files, parts,pcb. for that purpose. did you noticed the dp/xr71 have analog meter connection also you can use meter modification for added sensitivity. those connection can be used in ready made lcd volume unit meter circuit available in most electronic store and have same result in metering purposes. you can even add if you want the led volume unit with 10 color leds,you can put battery level indicators in lcd/led volume unit ready made circuits or make your own pcb design for led/lcd no need pic,programmer,hex files. the next time i will post all the add ons of eugene52 dp/xr71 metal detector. im just busy now plotting my target using the dp.xr71 coz i have promise to my idol.

iman, before you build the dp/xr71, you must study,understand and know the whole function of the schematic before you build the real one for you to directly pinpoint the fault ncase of malfunction. malfunction will occure surely, but not the schematic and pcb fault its your eyes may be or substandard parts or stormed brain that coz eyes malfunction.

if you are a skilled or professional electronic technician maybe you can understand what you want. if you have no knowledge in electronics or electronic circuit building then, i can't answer to your questions.

I'm also confused w/ the figure, anyway here is the guide:

1) 3ft / 3.281ft.pmtr= 0.914 mtr.

2) 5mts. x 3.288ft.pmtr= 16.405 ft.

I also need a detector that can accurately pinpoint object depth at 4 ft., is BH pioneer 505

Hello . Of all the PI projects posted on this forum , In my opinion the Sniffer / XR71 is the best PI to build , maximum possible depth is 420 centimeters which is almost 14 feet , which is pretty close to 4.5 meters !!!!! Not bad for the time and money it takes to build it. There are a few other deep PI projects posted on this forum . The next one Delta Pulse which is 99% the same as the Sniffer/ XR71 but just runs at a different frequency . The next is the DBP-2010 which is another Deep detecting PI , and there is one more deep PI schematic that is not named , but I was told it has depth equivalent to the Delta Pulse ...... To forum member Iman or belief , these are all great projects to build . If you want to go 5 meters than you will have to modify one of our PI projects after you build it . If you find a PI schematic that goes 5 meters or more you are more than welcome to post it here . Great
