At the time he was working for P.T. Jayatama Istikacipta under a Indonesian Goverment permit so the original anouncement probably came from them.

The timing of all wreck anouncements has to be made at diferent times for varius reasons from investors, permiting requirements, or just to stake your claim.

Just look at Odyssey's diferent wrecks as to when they annouced (some before they recover some after they recover).

They would have excavated it all if they could have economically removed all the mud, but now as you are aware this wreck is now subject to inter-govermental disputes over ownership let alone any interference from UNESCO so I would not be surprised if this wreck never gets fully excavated.

VOC . No I would not tell the world that I found that wreck . But Marx did !!!!!!  If he found that wreck how come he never salvaged it ? Since he was offering coins from the Flor do Mar ,  he should pay the Indonesian Gouvernment their share .      Cornelius

No, that is not all I have to know. My claim is true and really just not that important even if it was not. Yours, however, is an official declaration and I think you are lying. I do not believe for a minute that anyone would have you as their representative never mind a government. It would be a sad mistake on their part. Now, either state what your relationship is to the Indonesian government or apologize to this group for misleading them.

I believe you are nothing more than a blowhard and a bully using your moderator status here to push people around. Grow up.

Golddigger I first met Robert Marx in 1995 when he was a consultant for Seahawk Deep Ocean Tech. He got the company in hot water with his wild claims (he told investors a blackened chunk of wood was a silver bar). As a result, the SEC investigated Seahawk. I met him a couple times more during his seminars in Sebastian.
    Marx opened a shipwreck museum in St. Petersburg Beach and had items on display from Port Royal. Well, he worked for the Jamaican govt. during his excavation of Port Royal. He was supposed to turn EVERYTHING over to the Jamaican govt. Instead he stole artifacts and smuggled them out of the country. You don't even know Marx yet you believe everything he says?

I never said I believe everything he says. Read for comprehension. I said that I have no evidence that leads me to believe he is not telling the truth. I believe what he has stated to the press in this case.

What I will not tolerate is the bullying that is going on here from Cornelius. He has no right to demand that I only post in agreement with him or else. He claims he represents Indonesia. I do not believe that. He is just too volatile a person to be involved at any level of government as a representative. He has threatened me more than once simply for saying I believe Robert Marx. At least you have the decency to simply present your case without threatening anyone. Do you see the difference in that?
