I have been looking at sites in and around Northampton..... some good history there Great

You are so lucky to be part of some of the greatest history this world has...

will be seeing family that I have not seen since 1973.... It will be amazing stuff... Where can I get a copy of that book from? Is it a download or a buy?

Jimmy, glad you had such a great time in England.... I love the Norfolk Broads.... and Hunstanton, been there a few times. Did you search inland, or the beach? Huh?

G Day Peter I am in the Kent area, So most places are easy to get to and we have 4 train stations within 1/2 a mile if my house
and all the major roads are within 5 miles ,

AU, you are in a beautiful area indeed.... you are truly blessed Great

As a kid, we used to travel a lot around the South of England.... Just love it down there.... lots of history there. We are looking at selling up here within a couple of years, and maybe going to Milton Keenes, but that is not confirmed yet..... I love this country, but our families are all over in England. Also do not see that the future here could be the best Cry

although it is not too bad at the moment.... Anyway, that will only be in a year or two if all goes according to plan.

G Day Peter well some of the best areas close to Milton Keynes, are Oxfordshire (lottsa good things there and Buckinghamshire, and the surrounding ares) Milton Keynes was Built in the early sixties so because of all the earth
works have been pushed around alot I dont Know what detecting would be like there.

to dig it up and say hello Hello

, The shoes Worn by James Bond are made there ( Church's ) and that area has been
a major part of Britains History so you better bring an extra set of batteries

I have a great battery for my detector..... lasts about 2 full days before it needs charging Grin

I am just hoping that I will be able to get out without a problem, as I will be going into this without any pre-plans or permission from farmers etc..... What I will try and do is to contact the local club before arriving and see if they will be willing to let me tag along with them on a trip or two Wise

Just might come right that way..... would love to find a roman coin or something like that.....
Northampton has lost it's reputation for the shoe industry, as most of the factories have closed down.... we had a factory at the bottom of my street when I lived there, that factory has been sub divided into smaller businesses now Cry
