minelab 4500,e-trac,electroscope

Go Up Go Down

I used to be a skeptic about the electroscope.  I met a unnamed prospector in Stanton AZ
last Nov.  When he exposed over 100 oz of gold nuggetts found last year it about took my breath away.
after research on line and finding that the electroscope is truly a lab instrument and that Tomas Edison was one of the early users of an electroscope I had to try one.  I have been gold prospecting for over 30
years and presently own a minelab 4500.  This is my 8th minelab.  I have found some nice nuggetts and some nice specimens.  I have nothing bad to say about the electroscope.  I found 8 coins at over 150 ft away the first time out.  It does have a learning curve but as any serious detector user will admit that any serious piece of equipment also does. I will be in Stanton the end of October 2010.  If you would like to experience a electroscope I'll be glad to show it to you and let you get hands on.  Seeing is believeing.
I know there is a lot of negative stuff on the internet out there.  I have an electronics background and am a retired commerical pilot.  Let's here your comments.  Thanks  Tom Crouse

Hi Tom;

Welcome. You are starting off rough. That post will have calls for court certified proof along with a letter from Jesus Christ.
If you can find some black plastic straws to put over your outside antennas you will increase your pinpointing. Also a counter weight if you have the booster. When perfectly balanced, response is terrific

Anyway, Glad to hear from you..

No, I just know what's coming.
I'm just a hunter. Been doing it for 30 yrs. Minelabs RULE  And I do use a LRL, and 2-box units, and underwater and a lot more.
Whatever it takes to score.

Just a thought here. The guy that started this thread says his works and was a skeptic. I'm saying mine work and I also was a skeptic.

Now, we both have a unit and have learned to work them.  You say they can't do what they do for us and don't have one.

Hmmmm.

IF you are interested I can give you some experiments that won't cost more than a dollar or two and you can see for yourself.

Give you a chance to prove your theory.

Random chance...... nothing more......nothing less.
A very expensive dowsing rod on a stick.
I see the manufacturer moved on to making some kind of LRL to "find people".
Same kind of principle.
Oh.......... have a look at the lab report:

That DIDN'T work either......

You'd be better off (financially) using a t**d on a pole.
Still give you exactly the same "random chance" results.....

Oh ....yes.....

"and finding that the electroscope is truly a lab instrument and that Tomas Edison was one of the early users of an electroscope I had to try one."

Yes, he did, only, you see............
It was one of these!!
(same name ENTIRELY different thing!) ROFL!!!  Funny Funny Funny Funny

I started with metal detector and i thought a long range instrument would be  indispensable. I went to his facilities (1992). I saw the inside of electroscopes. Parts that cost no more $ 20.  I left without any comment. A metal detector have circuits, batteries, coil, and it can penetrate 1-2 meters. What could it do with "nothing"?

I'm not going to argue the point. Back to what I do know as a fact that is consistently proved to me. That is the only thing I can accept.

The law of large numbers never lies. Even with random spurts of chaos.

To go straight to a target from a distance, or within 3 or 4 ft, is not random chance. There is ALWAYS something where it says. Most of the time NOT what you were looking for, but something that caused a reaction.

Funny you mentioned finding people. Get ready to call me a liar.
We were on an Island setting up to search. I tuned a unit in and started to scan. I get a hit, but the unit won't lock on a spot, it is slowly moving. Then it stops and moves back the other way. About that time one of the guys pops up from behind a sand dune right in front of the antenna. As he walks down, the unit follows him. Now it may have been something he had on him, I don't know. But it dam sure followed him. I checked my settings and had forgot the final number, causing it to do this.

As far as the electronics in these. I do have a fairly strong background since I was a nav. equip. repairman in the Air Force.
Some make sense to me some don't. How can you explain the workings of a Witching rod (divining rod) or the results of the Spanish dip needles used for 100's of years with no electronics?

There's more to this than what meets the eye. I don't have all the answers only the results I see with my own eyes.
People can get mad and say all kinds of things, but it doesn't change what happens in the field. To me the real questions should be HOW is this happening, HOW to make it more consistent, HOW to make it more precise. We should be looking for answers not arguments. This is like racing rocking chairs, a lot of action and no progress.

Here we go again!   You all just don't learn!

The WishSTick 2000 is the best.

It has all the properties of the others and just as  many scientific principles
