Just want to say, that the Spanish and Spanish priest would kill Indian and burry them at or in the site so the spirt would guard and protect the mine or treasure.

Well while it makes for interesting reading how many times could Capt XXX get away with it. You go to bury some gold with 4 men and come back alone no one going with you next time??? Plus everyman on board had a job not many were expendable. Some say slaves were used and killed but I find little info that pirates had many slaves just no room on board their small ships where if it eat or sleep it need to beadle to fight.

Ease up on shorty. Any info is good until proved otherwise. The jury is still out for me on the subject but I agree there could be something to it from all the reports over the years. Blackbeard was reported in several different decades supposedly near one of his old caches. He attempts to guide the contactee to his treasure so he can "move on" so to speak. A good deed to get more afterlife brownie points or whatever. Some can see entities and others not but no evidence of any hurting anyone. Scaring them enough so they end up hurting themselves, yes. If true...remember, ghosts were just people. That's it. They are not all knowing or read the future. However, they may know something not documented...or point the way. If no one believes you Shortribs, let me know, I'll check it out with you. Look at all the treasure stories on here with a lot less fact to them. Open the mind a bit and it might fill your own treasure chest.

No matter how many times the guys in the red shirts went with Captain Kirk to the planet and died, they kept on going. Maybe they all thought the last guy was just plain stupid or something. Do you suppose Kirk was burying treasure?

It's all about that magical moment of discovery when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

nahhhh, Kirk was too busy scoping out the space babes.    The treasure burying was delegated to Spock and McCoy (no one else would ever believe those two would be in cahoots).
