Again, photos taken seconds apart. I can't see a cigarette making this much smoke, especially when nobody was smoking at the time. I won't go into why the worker has the expression that he does on his face when he felt the cold air and the hand on his shoulder after the jackhammer and fan were unplugged without anybody being near them. Why bother? The skeptics will have some sort of "scientific" explanation, like the guy is crazy or I am.

That's your answer. Digital cameras need 3 to 15 seconds to reset clicking the button to soon will cause irregulars in the second picture.

These things are so common at genuine treasure sites where many people were murdered that it doesn't bother people that much. Just a lot of goose bumps and hair standing up on end. It would be fun to let one of the skeptics spend the night, but that will never happen.

Who said anything about a ghost? 3 seconds, 15 seconds, whatever.... probably more like 30 seconds. The cigarette smoke comment is more plausible than the digital camera expert technician explanation, neither of which are likely explanations, and neither of which address the non photographic issues. I guess some people are just experts on everything.

There is a valuable lesson in this. Boards, not just this one, but most are populated by a certain percent of real smart asses, whose mission in life is to mandate what others are allowed to believe and post. And in a post like this they will never stop until the have, in there minds totally humiliated the poster with whom the are at swords point. They usually have thousands of posts, a title and live to make fun of people.
Boards like this are good for certain things, ask questions about a detector, or a map or something simple, but if you find the Beale treasure, a Knights of the Golder Circle cache, see a ghost or capture a bigfoot, you damn well better not post it on a board like this unless you enjoy being called a liar and that will just be the start of it. I don't believe in ghosts since I have not seen one for sure. But I have loved a good ghost story all my life. So I read this thread for the enjoyment of a good ghost story. Thanks to the original posters and as in the rest of life "Don't let the AH's wear you down. I almost did not join the board because of similar posts on another thread. Now I am kind of sorry that I did.
