Again, I'm just curious to know if anybody has a reasonable explanation for the photograph(s) I posted. I never said that this is a ghost, and it most certainly is not cigarette smoke or a malfunctioning camera.

GW I have no clue as to what it is, but camera's can produce weird things, even some photos i have taken with the old 35mm come up with weird stuff in them and then the next pic is fine. unless it really bothers you , think i would just forget it and move on to the next photo.

Now if it starts to happen all the time then thats different or if it only happens at one location and then with every pic at that same location then i would say u have something what exactly it would be , is up to u and whoever has more experience than i do.  Grin  Grin

Yes, of course I agree about the cigarette smoke, but I think a malfunctioning camera has also been ruled out.

I'm going to side with GoldDigger on this one.  There has been and always needs to be a watchman on the wall, looking out for the sheep so to say.  Thats the way it should be.  Then there are ferocious independants like Seldom who can take care of himself but there are plenty of gullible specimens out there to be fleeced.  Now I'll get a note from GD sayin "I don't need YOU to defend ME"...sigh...okay  I'm not defending you I'm defending your ideal.

This is an interesting conundrum. It does not look like cigarette smoke to me at all. Assuming a malfunctioning camera is ruled out, I can only venture a guess that a gas pocket nearby blew out, and the escaping gases caused that misty effect.
