Go Up Go Down

First let me say this, I love this topic, Now, I have never been cache hunting, but would too, my only no no would be on sacred Indian grounds, I would not want to disturb the burial sites.. Have I seen Ghosts, Yes, I have, even know his name, Jack, he died in my house, he and his wife were previous owners, after he passed, we moved in..the room he died in is now our bedroom.. he was creamated.. for two years, every nite, I would see a full figure of Jack, walking out of our bedroom and going into the smaller bedroom.. thats where his wife slept ( they had seperate bedrooms) I would stand there in the hallway and say, Jack, helens not here, shes at your house in the next town.. this continued for 2 yrs.. his widow had decided after two years decided to fullfill his dying wish to have a double martini dropped into the bay along with his ashes.. that was the last time I saw Jack..

However, I have seen a old old seaman at this haunted cemetary down the road from my house, he was leaning on a tombstone, dressed in old old fashioned seamans clothing.. I looked, I could see him as clear as a real person, next second he was gone.. this site, has had many lost at sea, many killed in the revolutionairy war and lots more killed in the civil war.  Ghosts do not scare me, infact I love to see more.   believe me or not, doesnt matter to me as I know what I saw..  so someday maybe I can hunt a cache and see more of them.. I am a believer.

this is a very interesting topic, I enjoyed reading your stories. I personally don't feel afraid of ghosts neither, it rather makes me more interested in the topic, what I'm more afraid is about the living.

maybe someday a scientist will prove that they do exist, who knows, as the motto says: the absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence, and some centuries ago they thought the planet was flat

Ya wanna feel some ghosts.... Take a walk through the Gettysburg National Battlefield. Go over to Devils Den and sit a while on the rocks.... Down right eerie!!! One time I was there on a dark rainy day ......... there is definitely some kind of energy floating around there.... Amen

I'm not much of a ghost believer either.

Mud I so agree, however Spanglers Spring gave me the willies. There is a video on youtube there that shows soldiers on the march and what looks like muzzle flashes. Pretty eerie Shocked

Go Up Go Down

My best friends home he grew up in as a boy in Alabama was a hospital during the Civil War he told me he used to wake up all the time with wounded soldiers standing around his bed, they finally boarded up the back of the house where his bderoom was and never went in there ever again. A house he called it but when I saw it, geeez I dont know how anyone could have lived in it, it was not like any house I ever saw, looked more like a few shack forts i built as a kid. We pitched tents out in the front yard I wasnt sleeping inside wher nature had claimed reclaimed the home many many moons ago. Im sure the ghosts ares till there !

Funny how ghost can make you uneasy but they are real. I don't think they would or could hurt you but they could make you miserable if they were up to no good.  shortribs

How ironic. They're not real? That means they don't exist. That's what you have been told all along.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Well, I am not saying there are no ghosts. I say I have never seen one. My memory is fading, but, I have gotten a really eirie feeling almost unnerving me that something was about and/ or watching me before while I was out in the boonies by myself, but, can't remember where it was. I do not to believe in ghosts. If I absolutely saw someone standing there and then a moment later that someone was gone, maybe, it would unnerve me and I might start believing, lol. And, yellowcat, that shadow have a shape? Could be a stealthy animal or a "claim jumper", be careful. williamsingr, that is just plain weird and "COOL" and freaky. Think I will pop a top for all the ghosts out there and invite them over (if they promise not to scare me in to a heart attack, lol)

yes, the shadow was a human shape running towards my right flank, I have to say that on that site I discovered among the coins a silver one, and a ring
