Go Up Go Down

I took the plunge and decided to gamble a small fortune on a deep cache detector.  I will put it through the ringer and report back what ever I find.  If there is any type of testing that I should do or that you would like to see, give me a page and let me know.  I am open to all ideas, short of dropping it off a two story building to see if it survives.
The detector is made in Turkey and can be found at makrodetector.com

I have yet to see any feedback from this detector, so I guess I will be the first!

James

What I will be really interested in seeing is how well it does with the "void" detecting.  How big of a space and how far down it can detect it.  These are the claims, and it will be interesting to see if they are true.

Makro and Nokta branched off from a common foundation; I swing the latter and a few other brands. I'm pretty sure that void detection will work well for you as long as you ground balance it properly, citeris paribus. At times void readings may be generated by the presence of tree roots and certain rocks. Have fun!

Well "all things being equal" I do hope that it does half as well as it claims

What type of rocks would give a "void" reading?

I've dug up lumps of greyish-blue granite 6" to 5 feet long which had been indicated to be voids.

Hummm interesting, I wonder what qualities that the material has that gives the indication of a void.  I am going to have to find a geologist and ask her/him that question.

I'm thinking a Void would be any body that is devoid of metallic content and of measurable size?
