Thats a lot of info, thanks Luc. I have toyed with the idea of the Templers going to ground for a long time. It only makes sense given the situation. I wonder how many of the Templer resergance groups had roots with the original, and which were just startups? I think a person could spend a lifetime descyphering that story Smiley

I really wish people could stop associating Dan Brown with a revelation. All he did was create a fictional novel around a historical concept well established long before he put pen to paper. I like his books but they are simply stories. People are so gullible, or is it that they want to believe it so badly that caused the craze?

Hi all

Just a quick word about the church of Saint Gervais Gisors.

within walking distance of the Castle, the parish church of St Gervais - St. Protais among the finest examples of Norman religious heritage.
Its pillars decorated by the charitable orders of the day as well as business corporations.

In one of the chapels, the aisles of the nave, a sculpted body calls you, to "Whoever you are, you will be struck down by death, stand there, watch out, crying. I was what you are, you'll be what I am doing now what you would have done as you die. "

Hello Luc

that inscription in that chapel you posted reminds me of another inscription in the grave yard at  St Davids Cathedral in West wales.

Among the Head stones lies an ancient grave stone. With a rather chilling message.

"Stranger Please note this as you pass by

So what you are now so once was I

What I am now so you must be.

Prepare for death and follow me"

I think I will have something funny on my headstone  "See I told you I was Sick"

So is it there to promote fear for the immortal soul and enhance collection plate revenue? Is there a tomb there perhaps? Or just a reminder we are all here for a limited time?

That is a bit chilling. I totally agree Hardluck, if you can't laugh at death what can you laugh at? My favorite is a boothill grave of Lester Moore in Tombstone Az.
Here lies Les Moore, took 4 slugs from a 44, no Les no more.
