It would be hard to believe how much it takes to convince any of my crew of something. Something different comes up, 5 people are going to try it to make dam sure. If it's better, it stays. With all the crap units that have been  thrown at people, I can't fault the naysayers one bit. But there comes a time to use your ears and eyes and leave the mouth out. Shocked

Please do your fellow treasure hunters a favor and list the crap units.

Just a heads up....LRL users are the naysayers, as Science has already discredited Long Range Locators... many, many years ago  wink wink

And please, leave the insults out

I promise you, it will go unnoticed by the ones it applies to.

RO; I do not spend my time researching all the lrls out there. I would think you have spent more time in that endeavor than I, so you would be the go-to guy an that one. I've only been around 5 or 6 store bought ones. Welll, at least no more than a dozen. With the 100's out there, you should have that done in a jiffy.  Good luck on that.

I didn't ask you to research all of the LRL's on the market. You said there was some crappy ones out there. Please enlighten our fellow treasure hunters so they will not get scammed.

Simple enough, and requires no great effort.

Fenix, the field would yield as much as the yard does if you dig deep enough. The odds are exactly the same for a field as for a yard. If humans were near it, there is detritus. This isn't a debate nor is it acceptable for you to dismiss statements that begin with the word "so." Being dismissive sets you up for ridicule and when you get it, you cry foul.

Just remember that this is a debate. Two sides. One side has evidence. Hard science and probability. The other side has anecdotal evidence. No science, just tons of treasure found without any reason at all for it being there. Not tons of treasure? That's right. Had you actually found tons of treasure you would own the Internet, not be here on a forum trying to convince the world that you CAN find tons of treasure.

You can point to treasure that others claim to have found and call that proof. I don't. I call it the same thing that happens to fishermen. The fish gets longer, heavier and more feisty with each retelling until every caught fish is actually Jaws in disguise. Even some detector users tend to exaggerate. They find 30 coins in a day and then 4 the next. When the story gets told, it was 340 coins found in one day.

Well alrighty then.

First I have used an Anderson Rod that I didn't think much of. However I know of 1 recovery made with one, and yes I saw part of it.
I don't think any of the units costing !0,000 are worth it. That I have seen. (Why are we doing this, you are not really
Interested)
I don't think an electra-search is too good. (Not wasting time on this. Anyone buying one can contact me and I will try to discourage them. Don't need the competition.  (Went unnoticed I see)

Ok, now for the grown ups;

G/D Let me help you. I have a Minelab that will hit a can at over 4 ft. There was nothing in those fields. I have a Gemini III  and a tm 808, depth is not a problem. But since you were there,,,   I hate it that what you want is not what I'm saying. Not my problem. I'm not going to lie just to make you feel better. I was not being dismissive, observant  is the correct word. Look at the post. RO was trying to be a horses butt. You can go out in the yard and see for yourself. Of course you will have to give yourself a hard time about it.
Ever see Fight Club?  Just stay above the belt. Remember the proof is in your yard.

No ya right depth is not the problem, its locating the pesky critters and knowing where to go,
