It seems to be a Question of What Law He Broke, Eaa?

My bet is the State Police want nothing to do with this one.

I bet they will Drop it in lue of spending the Money to persue a Fictation.

But then again, it's easy to spend other peoples money.

Actually, history has proven you can fix or change a law by breaking it (that's what was involved in a lot of the Civil Rights activities of the 1950's and early 1960's) BUT:
A) you have to be willing to take the punishment for breaking the law
B) you have to have a whole heck of a lot more public exposure than you have
C) the law needs to be either clearly unjust or downright idiotic to not only the jury but also the public viewing the trial.....enough so that they rise up to demand changes.

And while I applaud cowboy's stand, I just don't see a large enough segment of the population covered by B and C above.....although, who knows, with the right publicity this could be a spark.

No Seldom you are wrong, the plume of a dredge has not been codified in law as pollution and his being cited for it is the action of over zealous federal and state employees.

I don't think so Gramps but it is of little matter as all we are getting is his side of the story I bet there is a lot more involved that we are not hearing and will never hear.

The guy was driving around with a dredge on a open trailer hooked to his pickup. In a national Forrest. How many of us would do that?  Like walking into walmart with a loaded gun...........I think the actions of the forestry service were correct. I also think cowboy should have it addressed. But what we have here is a mob rule, hence my last post. As for the OSP, again they did what we pay them to do.

I certainly wouldn't want any of you for a defence lawyer, you'd tell to shut the "F" up, pay the and then go home take a warm bath and open my veins.  How many times must this be stated, he was on a part of the river open to dredging and within the time period alloted by the state and an over zealous federal employee cited him for pollution which the plume of a dredge is not and throw in the "blue goon" from the state.  I am reasonably certain that he isn't a bloody raving lunatic doing something that would forever ruin his chances of doing the recreational activity of his choice "prospecting".  

Wake up all of you the enemy is the goverment, they are the ones who are incrementally taking away our right to prospect, to treasure hunt or anything that brings us pleasure.  We must all be quite and compliant little members of the Socialist Terrany that "The One" has planned for us.  Well not this guy, I didn't spend twenty years of my life defending the Constitution to have a bunch of Socialist nare-do-wells stomp all over it and call it a living document that must change with the times, ain't no F'n way.
