Tony you don?t find it strange that said maps were hid for 300 years and all found in 5 years by the Palmers?
First used furniture dealers have known about and searched old furniture for hidden compartments for 100?s of years. Someone would have found the maps way before the Palmers.
#2 Kidd was in custody from the time of his arrest till they hung him. He had no reason to hid maps before his arrest and no time after.
#3 Kidd was the most unsuccessful pirate who ever sailed the oceans.  The only reason we even remember him today is because of Harold Wilkins book about him. And the fact that he started talking about treasure to save his neck, they didn?t believe him then I don?t believe it now.
#4 Wilkins was a hack writer who admitted that the maps were made to sell books. After his short love affair with pirates he went on to write several books about UFO?s that in its self should tell you that he wrote what ever it took to sale books.
#5  Your name dropping is not bringing you any creditability so you know a guy that worked at Brother computers big deal I know a couple of U S Congressman   you think if I bring up their names at the next Lafitte Society meeting it will make my report any more credible doubtful very doubtful .
#6 Your first post was very arrogant and asking for money that in itself is a bad move here. You have not given one piece of new information or fact that may change our mines.    Unlike you we are open mined and will listen to new fact if there is proof.

You are dealing  with people who have been at this for 20 30 40 years  who are living off their rewards  they are not going to buy into your dog and pony show without some proof.
I suggest you rethink this and came back with some facts, show us something to change our mines.

Tony I have just about had it with your arrogance  and condescending attitude to highly respected members of this forum. No one needs to prove a thing to you, you need to prove why you believe in a bunch of fake maps.
You can consider yourself warned.

Seldom

Tony,
Try the map room of the British Library.
They have (or still should) tracings of the originals.

An expert is what needed so I hand to find an expert one who would know when kidd went to the toilet he would know how to find the best charts so of I went, like then and like now there are experts and there are sheep, so who was an expert and who are the sheep, to find an expert for me is easy, like this, Find some thing you knows to be right, and that only an expert would know quote it slightly wrong so the expert will read it, once he knows you are wrong his armchair ego will swell and he cant wait to tell you so, now Steve who was Keith Jessup?s nabour when he is not playing golf is around my house every other day and said? that?s easy? so I did, low and behold out from the wood work come's an expert, so I do now know now who is an expert, I all ready know who are the sheep and as for teach a man who will put money where his mouth is to me is a gentleman and so brave.  so some facts for the sheep, now this person call mr s worked for the map department of the British museum  and he was retiring which he did  ( that means he did work there but any more) took the charts to the new person in charge who he new and asked him could he photograph the charts as he had all the equipment to do so, and he used the British museum tag thing that we all see to this day on one of   the charts (a proper expert will tell you this) I love it when a plan come?s together .ops I should not be rude sorry it is  does that make me an expert on the charts next

Anthony, not sure that this is the answer you are looking for but, may I suggest 8.3 x 5.8 inches is correct. Best copy I have seen published is by G.E. in Pentland Press. If size given is correct, it provides a hint to the era the original was drawn because of inner line spacings used to create the original chart. The interesting thing is that the way to reveal the 3 maps within the chart works regardless of size.
PS. Forget China, its a later addition and has nothing to do with it.

Hello All

Tony why are you ranting again?

Now Answer my question when did you meet Keith Jessop?

Surely You do not expect me to answer your questions when you do not answer mine?

Side stepping the issue is not answering the question  tony.

Hardluck
