the bleeding heart libs, have made it so the crimminals have more rights than the victims do.

Wow guys non letheal booby traps,oh you guys are good.Ever since I was a kid I always came up with good ideas" at least I thought were good" for booby traps but all my traps would ,well let's just say that their booby trap tripping days would be NEVER MORE  Violent Beheading
Yeah I know guys if I keep to thinking those thoughts I'll be under the prison.I guess non letheal is the way to go these days, but even so like Karl pointed out the thieves has just as many rights as us honest hard working people. Now that burns my a** too,and now here I go back to my old ways of handling things like this, mountaineer style   Club Club Club Club Club Club Club Club Club
Ok I got that all out of my system now.Remember I'm just a peace loving tree hugging push over  Devil

Steveo, Anti climb Paint is a good one because they get it all over them selves, and they can't grip anything
and the best bit it don't come off so easy and the police can see by the state of them who it was, and their
finger prints and on the painted surface, and if you want to stop people climbing ya fence then carpet grip rod
is real good coz it chews the heck out of their fingers,

Hey Guys,

The funny thing about all this, is that I placed the coins in a spot in the middle of nowhere in grass 3' high.... Nobody would steal them there would they?  Crazy I will get the experiment going again.... must just work out a good place... If you hurt someone here, even a criminal inside of your house... you will get arrested and they will get away with it... funny how crime pays  Idiot

AU I like the anti climb paint but the carpet grab takes the cake  Great Oh man tell me that would not dig right in to your fingers,  Shocked That would be some serious PAIN.
I'll be sure to keep that one in mind.......  Devil

Yup Peter I think AU has a point.I too think someone seen you go into the bush and after your gone they went in with thievery on their mind.
Now back in the hills of W.Va there is a bit of green leaf growers "if you know what I mean"that has their crops in well hidden places, but it seems that every now and then their crops get snatched.Well if only the 'farmer' knows the location then either someone just stumbled on to it or the "farmer" was followed or he left a path to the site.
If it was me I would treat this experiment like it was an illegal activity.
First I tell not a soul about the location.
Second always take different routes to your site, leave no paths to site.
Third string up some strong fishing line about a foot high from stakes in the ground around the outer perimeter of the site, get some empty soda cans and put a few small rocks in can.Now placing the cans laying on the ground, then tie some line from the trip line to the cans leaving enough slack between can and trip line to leave the can laying flat on ground. If someone snags the trip line and the line is strong enough that it does not brake they will get caught up in the trip line and drag the cans around making all kinds of noise, not lethal but usually scares the crap out of them.also it makes them think that this site is being watched by the 'farmer' and believe me no one wants to get caught stealing out in the bush where who know what can happen to thieves out there.
Hey I know it's a little extra work and I'm sure someone else may have better ideas, but this was the first thing that came to mind.Plus I have seen these set ups in the past and it does work for the most, and best of all no one get killed or hurt, just spooked.
Well that's my two cents. good luck Peter...... Great

Hi guys,
This is my little answer about the original question : Why does relics and coins sink in the ground?
A french MD magazine made a full article trying to answer the question: do artifacts go up in the ground? And they explain why, with different experiences.

So, sinking or floating artifacts??

Oli
