Ok guys, here we go again with the experiment..... this time as you can see to gt to the coins, you have to walk through the jungle and fight lions on the way..... If it disappears, then it will be either, fire, cattle, or those dreaded birds AGAIN.....  Club

Thanks BA for your ideas....  Great

This is the area of where the coins have been placed....

 HI All

Some interesting stuff !! I know that clay will expand and contract, this is mostly due to moisture and the temperature.
I have an Idea that the different coins will have different sink rates. perhaps the different metals have different sink properties also.  Cool

Goldnboy,

You are most likely right..... I think the reason we see such funny things happening with sinking is due to soil types, weather, weight, size and many other things..... Insects sounds like something that would be fun to test out..... worms etc  Idea let me think on this one....

I'll try to post a photo of the Floating Coins I was talking about.  My Camera sorta sucks but will Try.

The wind blows away the sand leaving them on a pillar of sand.

Go Up Go Down

  Hello Peter
The only change in my two quarters is the one I stood up on end is leaning to the right and some very little sinkage, grass is starting to take root all around both coins.I would think that the new grass growth will move the coins somewhat.
The only difference with the flat laying coin is that once again, the new grass growth is starting to raise the coin slightly off the soil.
So for now it would seem that the grass has a affect on the movement of the coins.

Peter your experiment seems to be going good for you now, good luck with that.  Great
Let's all just kick back and see what happens next..... Wink
